Maybe i'm just bad with Ashe but...

How are you supposed to carry with her?

It seems like i almost always run into those two scenarios:

A) I win lane, but i have a very hard time translating this lead into a snowball.

B) I lose lane, and i can't do shit anymore, and i instantly die as soon as i get close to ANYTHING.

But first, i just want to explain this: I haven't played ADC at all since preseason 8 hit, last time i played ADC was in early 2k17 when adc were actually at their weakest (when all those "adc in 2k17 lul" memes started) and i used to spam Tristana all the time, with some Jhin on the side.

Although i have a lot of orb-walking experience and my "best" adc is Tristana, i dislike playing champions when they're OP or too meta, i prefer to play "underdogs". Which lead me to play Ashe recently. I didn't have any trouble snowballing with Tristana, and even when i bit the dust early, i usually could farm up and get strong in the lategame. But Ashe feels like her polar opposite.

It feels like she doesn't have the mobility or burst to translate her lead into mid/lategame, nor does she have the pure damage output that a Varus or Kog offer with their hybrid damage output. She also lacks the waveclear that a champion like Sivir offers. She does have some global pressure with her ult and E, but you could say that Kalista offers more.

Or is she too reliant on her team comp?

Any Ashe mains could help me? Thanks!

Ashe is probably the healthiest ADC in the game, and as a result she suffers heavily for it.

She's not brokenly bursty, her sustained damage is good, and if caught off guard / out of position she'd better be REALLY ahead / an amazing player, or else it's all over. However, when protected by her support and / or front line, she reliably makes mince meat out of teams. She also makes low and moderate mobility champions cry.

This is how ADC's should operate, but.. Well, yeah.

Not an Ashe main here, but I think you just need to play pretty safe with her. She can't go bonkers like a fed Draven can but her damage is still more than sufficient to annihilate any squishies. Her Q proc pumps out surprising amounts of damage. You also have to remember that she has an almost point and click stun when cast at short range, a perma slow and a long range scouting ability. Few other ADCs can do that. And her vision advantage can help her contest objectives in much greater safety. I think her power lies more in her general utility rather than raw burst damage.

Do you complete your item 3508 before going for your item 3086 upgrade? Or get item 1038 followed with an upgraded item 3086? I used to go for the later when i played Tristana but maybe in the current meta and/or on Ashe it's most beneficial to rush item 3508 first?

Also i admit i've been running Aery/Comet for the poke damage, thought it was a nice idea to give a little boost to her reliable poke, but i'll try PtA in my next games.

Edit: Also why Ravenous Hunter? It only heals on ability hit, at first i thought it might work when activating Q, but after testing it doesn't, and since her W is coded as an AoE it barely heals anything.
