The best way to deal with assassins is to be able to live their burst and to take advantage of their relatively weak team fights by grouping. Someone like lulu can stop someone like zed from killing the carries while poppy can (in theory) make it so champs like Rengar and Kha can't reach them.

well with ppl still perma-banning malz i dont think u can consider him a counter anymore. in not one single game has he not been banned that ive played since his rework. not saying he isnt a counter but you will never get to pick him.lol

I've not seen him banned since 6.9.

After the initial nerfs, he's been in a good spot but not overpowered.

i never though he was overpowered. Got him through on a game last night but dear god the mana issues make him suck for me.I use one combo im outta mana which sucks cause malz uses spells for wave clear.

Also Lissandra Counters almost every (if not every) assassin with her ult and denying potential.

Just do like I do and play a tanky champ if your comp allows it.

Works for me. They wanna counter mages by laning against them with a champ designed to eat most of them at their power spike? Play a champ they can't burst down and fed on.

But as for mages, Malz and Liss work good into most imo.
