Support items are the cheapest yet the have the most impact.

Let's see here: item 3107 2100 gold, heals entire team for 500 item 3190 2200 gold, gives entire team 500-1000 shield item 3109 2200 gold, gives an adc 12% damage reduction and user massive healing item 3504 2300 gold, gives 4k worth of stats to the adc

Let's look at expensive items and their impact: item 3089 3600 gold, makes ap champs do about 30-40% more damage item 3072 3700 gold, makes ad champs do about 20-30% more damage and lifesteal 100 more per hit item 3078 3733 gold, gives some shitty combination of stats and movement speed

As you see, these support items have far more impact than expensive damage items, and we wonder why botlane has too much impact. These items are so cheap that supports often finish full build 10-15 minutes before solo laners. Also, these items are far more effective when used on adcs than other teammates. This is the reason why we sometimes refer to supports, specifically enchanters, as "adc slaves". It's also the reason why most adc mains have this "main character mentality" in which they think they are the centre of the team.

I suggest these price changes so they can reflect the impact of the items.

item 3107 2100 -> 4500 item 3190 2200 -> 4400 item 3504 2300 -> 6000

These new prices will now actually be consistent with the true strength of these items.

Support items are intended for champions that don't have a way of generating large amounts of gold. A support isn't going to last hit many minions, nor are they going to get the bulk of gold from kills. Their items are buffed to compensate.

Without specifically agreeing or disagreeing here, i'm honestly curious; How the heck do you figure Ardent Censer gives 4k worth of stats to an ADC?

Show me some of that maths, wouldja?

Ok Lets consider a Janna who bought this item, now has 60 ap and +10% heal/shield power shield strength = 282*1.1 = 310 hp = 827 gold ad bonus = 46 = 1610 gold 30% attack speed = 750 gold 20 on hit damage = 500 gold total = 3687 gold This is an item that costs 2300 gold, and not accounting for the stats it gives to the user.

At the level at which Janna gets that item, the bonus to AS and Damage isn't that high, probably about half what you're indicating. Also, you can't calculate the full AD and shield bonus of Janna's shield in the value of Ardent Censer, because while Censer does buff the skill, it doesn't determine the the entire value of the skill on it's own (Aka the base numbers of Janna's E don't count in Censer's efficiency).

It's so funny, us laners and junglers have to farm for our gold, meanwhile supports get gold just by getting coins or hitting enemy with spells.

You're looking at the wrong problem with support items. The problem is they have heal and shield power attached, allowing them to completely bypass AP(aside from ardent censer because it actually has AP, but even if it had health or some other defensive stat instead of AP, they'd still buy it, and it'd be even better on them). Enchanter supports aren't supposed to be tanky, and now they are because of this stat on these items. Remove that stat and all the problems go away.

........and yet you still have to beg supports in Bronze and low Silver to even build them.

Yes im talking to you all you full AP Lux, Karma, Sona supports.

Nothing tilts me more than to see me buying 4 or 5 control wards in a game and the support doesnt even have a warding item and then finishes the game with the lowest vision score on the team.

But also.....the reason support items are cheaper is because supports usually finish the game with the least amount of gold on the team, unless someone on the team doesnt farm like they should. The only time they can get any real gold without getting flamed is last hitting minions about to die to the tower or other minions when no one else on their team is around.

Do you have any better suggestions to allow supports to be effective whilst being gold starved? FWIW I don't particularly like most of the support items and would prefer to be able to pursue 'normal' items. Curious of any options you might have in mind.

Yeah I don't know where OP is getting this idea that supports get full build first. Gold income is low for the support position. That's how it's always been.
