Prevent Bloodrazor From Being OP on Laners - Limit Smite / Jungle Items to 1 Per Team

Just found this video, where Phy talks about the possibilities of Bloodrazor being picked by Marksmen: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPkLw1_hd9Q

It immidiately reminded me of how dumb Smite was on laners back in the day. The Smite Cinderhulk Toplane Meta was really unfun to play against and hilariously overpowered. Then, later, came the Runeglaive Ezreal Meta which was equally shitty. Both times the items they've picked had to be nerfed even though they really weren't all that OP on Junglers.

Now imagine this is going to happen again and literally every marksman player and his grandmother is going to pick challenging smite and combine it with Bloodrazor. Everyone is going to find out that it is bloody OP and botlane in general will be a terrible and boring experience, just to end up with the jungle item getting nerfed again even though the actual junglers who used it might not have been that strong ( well, except for maybe Kindred ).

This brings up the question why smite wasn't limited to 1 per team everytime this had happened. Sure, the counter argument that creating more strategies makes the game more diverse still exists, but everyone being forced to take a jungle item and creating a balance dilemma between junglers and laners again won't really benefit to diversity at all.

So please, just straight out remove Smite for laners once and for all.

Why wouldn't they just get Blade of the Ruined King?

It deals more on-hit damage (about the same overall, but more when they are high health), provides sustain, has a strong active and has a better build path for laners. This lets you take Heal (or another Summoner Spell of your choice) too.

The only advantages are Skirmisher's Sabre (damage reduction, vision and true damage DoT) and cost.

Or... Just make BotRK do 4% max health and have the same unique passive name of Bloodrazor. That will keep it from being stacked and in turn too good of a tank killing combo.

Honestly this is why we can't have nice things, because one person finds out how to take complete advantage of a fair thing and make it unfair, thus making it so it is subpar to EVERYONE else, in order to make it so the op handful is at the old balanced level.

And I am not gunna lie, the enchant is a tad stupidly broken for what you get from it, max hp per AA.... wow... I really want to try top Aatrox with it, because he is alreadya problem child, but with ADC, they could just make it** melee only...** fucking over Kindred, but does she really need more damage?

A jungle item being so strong on laners that they're willing to give up a summoner for it indicates that the item is OP overall.

That's all there is to it. Nothing else. If it's not OP in general, why is it OP on a champion that needs to make a sacrifice to use it?

Notice that the damage on Bloodrazor is deliberately weaker than the old Madred's Bloodrazors, which did 4% max health per hit.

And how does it get decided who gets to get smite? what if people want to switch roles? who's to stop someone else from taking smite to troll?

And like with runeglaive, that means they're giving up summoner spell and an item slot for one that is primarily attack speed and that won't necessarily be effective every single time
