You can’t take away the right to play a new champ in ranked. It’s right in the LoL bill of rights...but I also have the right to auto ban that piece of garbage.

I didn't say take it away, I said make people learn the champ

Yeah cause they couldn't just click on past the video.. it's just like when a new patch comes out and the Tos pops up every time, no one actually sits there and reads it

ToS is much different than a new champ because nothing really changes except legal acts that we don't think about because we're not infringing on copyrights

It's no different though.

When people are forcibly presented with something, they skip on by it. It's like most forums have a user agreement that states the laws of children under 13 are prohibited from using them, but do you think they read that? No. Do you think they care? No. So, seeing a video pop up infront of them to make them see how the champion is, or what it does before playing would be met with the same reaction of "skip". As most people just want to play and learn more by just jumping right into it.

So there is no feasible way to "make" anyone watch said video.

It's not gonna be a YouTube video where you can move the time viewer, it's just gonna be playing with no way to stop it.

But there'd have to be a way to close it. So again, it doesn't work.

Closes automatically at the end

easy peasy

if my community college could make this program for education videos I think Riot could do it

Not how the client is made, so that wouldn't work, it's too much for Riot.

It's not? That's interesting I've gotten screens where I can't exit them, like the rank/level up screen.

that's a very small thing compared to an actual video, also people can just mute the video, minimize the client or just have it on the side while they go whatever sites they typically go to until the video ends. It would also be a great way to piss of a huge group of players that could care less about whatever new champion/rework is out. There is literally no way for you to force anyone to actually watch a video of any kind unless you start to make the program literally take over the PC and not let them do anything at all until said video plays which is going to be great for legal purposes

That's an event style animation. Honor, Ranks, Gifts, Reports, ect all pop up on that screen and usually have a small animation displayed that goes by rather quickly. That's not the same thing as having a video opening on your screen. Have you seen any of the videos, other than those that are within the champion profiles not be linked through YouTube?

Riot doesn't really do anything that would ever force anything upon a player. I mean there are small things from events, such as the spawn/finishers that can be looked at as forced on you once you unlock them as they last till the end of the events. Other than that they don't like forcing things upon players.
