Here's a Thought: Illaoi ADC

So basically what the title says.
People should try building nothing but raw damage on Illaoi. Maybe even take her bot lane, and here is why: She scales massively with AD items, She's a big enough lane bully to survive against ranged characters, and she has a very unique way of sieging towers.
I'll lay out my argument really quick for those still reading: Her tentacles hurt. A lot. I believe each one is a 1.6 AD ratio + base damages, which is great if your a juggernaut and your biggest damage Item is your lone black cleaver, but it's absolutely bonkers when you're walking around with nearly 500 AD in total.
She's a super lane bully, we know this from Top lane. Most people immediately tune out the idea of her going bot lane though because since Illaoi is melee, they imagine going into lane against a Caitlyn and getting their butts handed to them. Well, fear not. Caitlyn is one of the longer ranged ADCs and has a range of 650. That puts her well within the range of Illaoi's Q and E. In fact, Every marksman's auto-attack range is still shorter than the range of Illaois Q and E, which means that they are still subject to tentacle shenanigans, and we've all seen enough to know where this is going.
We just talked about Illaoi having absurd range and High AD ratios on her tentacles. So it's not hard to imagine an illaoi Q slapping people, and stealing souls from underneath towers. But keep in mind that the damage transfer % on Illaoi's test of spirit also has an AD ratio, and a good one. Every 100 ad means an additional 8% of the damage you do to the spirit is dealt to the target being tested. When you have 500 ad, they should rename the ability to "voodoo doll." ( 45% base +40% of the damage will be transferred to the target)
But that's not all, after cursing the target, they'll spawn tentacles (literally on top of the tower they're trying to defend) that will automatically attack cursed targets with aoe that sports a 1.6 ad ratio (which will be around 1000 damage before reductions). And while they frantically try to kill tentacles, there is nothing saying you can't pull another spirit to test, forcing the enemy team that's huddled under their tower to dodge twice as many angry elder god appendages lest they get aced. 1000 damage in an AOE. Players that were smart enough to dodge the skillshot can and will get hit by that, and it will hurt. Those unfortunate players will likely kill tentacles on sight, meaning that the actual cursed players will more often be unable to kill three tentacles to reduce the duration of the debuff.
Lastly...And though it rarely will ever happen when you've build no defences, should you manage a five man ult and even a single cast of harsh lesson afterward, yes, you will do 5000 damage to the entire enemy team. I've seen it, and it's just as ridiculous and deeply satifying as you are imagining.
So do it! Who needs
as a bot lane carry when we have
, our bronze, hard-bodied hottie?
"... So how do YOU do it?.." Oh. Well lemme tell you how I do it, then you can find a better way:
I rush
and
, and along the way pick up
.
Since I'm in it for the AD more than the crit, I'll often buy both BF swords before completing either item. From there I'll pick up
, and if the match still isn't over, well, take your pick :
.
Edit:
and
At this point, I feel more comfortable with AD Illaoi than standard Illaoi. And apparently, at my elo, I'm beating the average in win percentage, so I think it's pretty cool.
TL;DR, Build a bunch of swords on Illaoi, and when the enemy mocks your build, tell them to "Behold and Despair".
first just for the extra survivability. It's a really fun champ to play in that role.
, so that you can land your 5-man ultimate without being bursted down. I'm not sure if
