Mordekaiser news generates a disproportionate amount of outrage.

But seriously, where are all of you suddenly outraged "S2 Morde Mains" coming from? Months ago, Mordekaiser was this "numero uno, huehuehue" champ from Brazil that had no part in Riots new hyper mobile meta. I should know, I loved Mordekaiser, first champion I bought (Or second, it was either him or Garen), and no thread about the guy before his rework would get so much traffic before his rework.
BUT I AM NOT saying that "his fanbase is small so we should care less about them", no, because you see I am a pre-rework karma main, and I know what it's like to have your FAVORITE champ destroyed because she's not riots postergirl.
When karma got reworked she completely lost her passive. She lost her ability to heal. She lost her ability to clothesline people with her magical razorwire. EVERY ability in her kit changed, the only thing that remained was the "concept" of empowering her abilities, even though ever ability and empowered version therof was changed. And she got a complete visual rework.
Karma was gone.
Morde on the other hand, kept his model. He's still an immobile burst mage. His Q still maces people real hard in melee. His E is still an instant cone. He still steals souls. His biggest change is that 1. His Q does insane damage and 2. his W (no more shielding a minion to max out shield. But on the flipside he can duo lane.)
"Oh nooo, he was always a master of metal! Lord of Death is Lame!"
Lord of Death IS lame. Paladin of Pain sounds 10x better.
But master of metal was his Identity?? Reasons he was a master of metal: His armor is made of metal His weapon is made of metal. His W sends out metal shards. His Q used to have a cheesy effect where his mace would shoot out smaller maces.
Reasons he Lord of Death is his Identity He's undead. He raises the dead His W makes people die His Q has this cheesy effect where his mace makes people die Oh and his name is literally lord of death.
New Morde in my opinion delivers my original fantasy of what morde should be. A big wall of death that kills and cannot be killed that is served by his team. I feel like he plays too damn similar to how he used to play for all of these non-morde mains to be this darn outraged (Get into fight, beat ass, Steal enemy carry)
I'm just tired of this circlejerk being perpetuated by people who arent and never were "morde mains"
