Seems like an overreaction if that was implemented.

LoL's entire itemization, build-paths, runes, and masteries are set up to allow players to build whatever they want.

Cooler than the typical RPG trend of cock-blocking certain classes from even equipping certain items IMO, and a pretty big part of the MOBA genre.

If my allies can still do things like AP+Lich Bane Riven, I don't see why Riot should limit a summoner spell to 1 lane.

well riot tries to balance items to the jungle but they become problematic in other roles
