The Diver Midseason Class Update - Who do you think will be featured and who should be?

So as in every update, there are four major reworks while the rest of the class receives minor changes. And there are A LOT of divers: Aatrox Camille Diana Hecarim Irelia JarvanIV Jax Kled LeeSin Nocturne Pantheon RekSai Renekton Vi MonkeyKing XinZhao

I think from what Riot has mentioned and teased, Aatrox Nocturne will definitely be two of the major reworks but the rest is basically just guessing.

I really hope the other two are XinZhao because he is THE OG diver, the first one of his kind and also someone who could need a little update and MonkeyKing , because he is basically forgotten at this point and also because he really doesn't have anything unique going for him.

When it comes to the minor changes to the rest of the class, this would be the perfect opportunity to bring Vi LeeSin and Hecarim back in line if they didn't do that already at that point. The rest seems somewhat fine to me but there will probably be more changes to them too.

i hope they actually differentiate them from jumping on one person and killing them as fast as possible

diver class is so horribly same-y at the moment

also jax is a skirmisher

I hope reksai will get some changes so she could be builded bruiser again instead of being a knockup bot. I also want vi to get some technological fun rather than the general punching.

...also irelia seriously needs a visual update as well. just like malzahar had in mage update I always think she has a cherry tomato with 4 onion slices as her blade still

I'd say good candidates for major updates are: Aatrox Diana Nocturne Renekton JarvanIV Hecarim RekSai

I think these champions need VGUs: XinZhao Irelia Pantheon Jax (Jax in particular I could see being pushed towards being a Skirmisher since's he's currently a hybrid of the two and Skirmisher seems to fit his theme more)

These champions probably don't need major changes, though some minor work could happen: MonkeyKing Vi LeeSin Camille

By the time the Diver update happens, Warwick will have been reworked and will likely be a proper Diver, and hopefully his rework is successful enough that he belongs in the third category.

Kled this guy isn't a Diver in the slightest. I've gone deep into why here.

I hope you realize the difference between a diver and a skirmisher is being able to force engages (diver) and playing around windows of extreme power (Skirmisher). divers have more burst, while skirmishers are based around dps. Kled is clearly meant to force engages (ult). He also has high burst (w 4 autos+titanic) and very little sustained damage.

Jax plays around the window of his e (skirmisher) and cannot properly force engages. If he does, he's likely to be killed. This is because his only cc is tied to his defensive ability, which means he can either engage without cc (suicide) or engage and have no way to protect himself (also suicide).

Being able to force engages isn't something unique to divers. Its also very much a hallmark of Vanguards and of many mages and supports. Kled brings team engage as a unique feature for a Skirmisher, much like Shyvana's 800 range dash is unique for a Juggernaut, and how Kindred's ability to save allies is unique for a Marksman. Ultimates often provide champions with unique tools for their class, and Kled's is a big example of that.

Kled lacks all the things that make a diver a diver, and has all the things that make a skirmisher a skirmisher. Divers have mobility that gets them to the backline, Skirmishers have mobility that allow them to constantly reposition in a fight. Kled's E is solidly in the latter category. Skirmisher's have incredibly powerful windowed defensive tools, while Divers have weaker tools with more uptime. Kled's passive is very much the former.
