If you're gonna buff champions before a skin comes out, can you be honest about it?
I just want an official statement saying that y'all do this, and it's not just coincidental. Just throw us a bone please. >.>

You realize skins are in development LONG BEFORE any balance changes are decided for a champion, right?
Skins aren't something they make in 1 patch cycle.
What champions get skins are usually decided months before even being teased / announced.
Nami, Kai'Sa, Akali, LeBlanc and Zoe all got nerfed around the same time their recent skins came out.
B-but let me cherry pick cases so it looks like a skin always comes with a buff to the champ [zombie-nunu-bummed]

Skins are probably decided 6 months before even getting announced / teased.

Pinnacle of Boards :D
First, that'd require that to actually happen. The numerous instances where a champion hasn't received any changes (or has even been nerfed or gutted before a skin released) prove this to be false.
And even if it was true, who the fuck would buy a skin just because a champion's strong?
That would be like a Chinese buffet putting up a sign that reads, "Now with more MSG."
So no Riot isn't going to post, "League, now with more cancer."
Msg is great.
vi new skin (bad) and vi nerfs ivern no skin and no changes ez nerfed after pajama guardian tham coin emporor thrash and he gets worse kayn 1 legendeary no buffs evelyen kda + prestiege massive buffs
I think this guy has a point...
I usually see a champion nerfed when they get a skin
buff for competitive, buff for skins or buff because favoritism?!
WHICH IS IT~
(Please dont take this post serious, just a joke)
Not just buffs, sometimes they nerf someone to the ground when their skin comes. Usually right before the skin comes out, they're testing the skin in game. This gives them time to adjust their gameplay if they feel too strong or weak.
For example, Pool Party Zoe dropped when she got a massive nerf.
Sometimes they are honest with champs being buffed for pro play and you guys ignore It.
Example:
Last Summer Lucian and Thresh get their High Noon skins, a patch later Riot buffs them and says WE ARE BUFFING THEM TO SEE BIG PLAYS AT WORLDS AND WE SAY IT CLEARLY HAVE A GOOD DAY
And the Boards take it as an example of champs being buffed to sell more skins and a lot of times even forgetting that the skins came before the buffs.
No. Because they would come out in game articles as baddies and more people would leave the game. Some obvious things are best left unspoken.
