The #1 reason cleanse isn't very viable

lol that's so stupid. You're not getting that until your 3rd item earliest and that's only if you are extremely fed and just want to stay safe. Otherwise its a 4th or 5th item so youre not getting it until 30-40 minutes unless once again extremely fed.

That's such a stupid way of thinking about it

Cleanse has been used by pros, just because people in soloq refuse to use it doesn't mean it is useless.

Cleanse is still viable in match ups like twisted fate etc.

I think if it also made the user immune for CC one second after activation, it would be much more viable.

Cleanse sees consistent play by mid laners when against match ups they're likely to be stun locked against.

Cleanse is fine.
