I know it's normals, but we got stomped either way and it was really unfun. My entire team except me was gold. I'm silver MMR.

Yes, everyone keeps saying that ranked and normals aren't the same, but they should be related. How hard is that to comprehend? Normal match making is terrible and takes away from the enjoyment of the game. Normals are where people either play for fun or practice, and Riot seems to be unable to create even a semi-balance match making algorithm. Ranked isn't that much better anyway. I rarely play it because it is so poorly balanced.
