Brand support is playing brand and building redemption and locket and using your abilities to peel for your team. Brand "support" is playing brand in the botlane and building full ap because "I wanna be the main character".

He's a fire support. A literal fire support. He doesn't have utility or tankiness late game so he focuses on doing what he does best: dealing damage from the back line and zoning enemies with his abilities.

Dealing damage is not supporting.
SzGamer2273 votesZoning enemies away from the backline is supporting, and securing kills/getting assists is supporting. Support Brand has shorted himself 100 AP by taking Eye of the Watchers instead of Rod of Ages, which means he's not a bursty midlaner who can get solo kills unless he gets a lucky pick, and needs to work with his team to make up for his lost offensive power.

Fuh Queue1 votesWhen I play Brand I build my eye of the watchers, lucidity boots and morello. With that core and the 40% CDR I will itemize whatever my team needs more. If we lack sufficient magic damage, I'll build more AP. If my team is doing well I will grab support items and provide support for my carries.

The issue is that the brand "supports" I get go 3/9 yet they still try to build glass cannon.

Why would I ever want someone to build BS which has 0.0 synergy with ANY ability in his Kit????

Because that's what makes this champion strong enough to be somewhat usefull for his team!
THAN we can talk about looking for a cheap Defensive Itemization if the game state is bad or APC 2.0 If you're snowballing like hell.
