Regarding Sterak's and Tri Force Synergy

In the patch notes, I deeply appreciate the time spent to address potential abuse by combining item 3078 and item 3053 in a build together.

My question is, isn't that just going to be a straight buff to the champs that were already rewarded for building both of those? Using data from op.gg, I found that there are a handful of champs that already have these two items as one of their highest win-rate builds in plat+. These champs are Irelia , Gangplank , and Yorick (there may be others I didn't catch).

I noticed this synergy, in particular, because I have just got done spamming ye olde Yorick on Twisted Treeline, and I find that tri force and sterak's is a great core build, especially when I get ahead.

For the community; anyone feel particularly strongly about this change due to this synergy? For the devs; did y'all talk about this at all, and were there any concerns about the few champs that really could really take advantage of these two items together?

Don't forget you're paying 600 gold more now mate. That's a significant amount.

Yorick is one of the item's main intended users anyway, being a Juggernaut.

Irelia and GP won't get as big of a lifeline shield/value from the base AD as juggernauts, as the Patchnotes explained.

Yeah, that's fair.

I do think this is a decent buff for Yorick, though, simply because he can take advantage of that synergy. Having an attack speed item with that high increase to base AD is pretty strong. Unlike the other people that use triforce, Yorick continues to stack health, so I think he'll get a boost from this.

youd be suprised how effective item 3078 is on garen already.

he has one of the highest base ad values of all champions. the burst it creates with his q and the turret damage is hilarious at times. ive seen it built more often on him in general as a snowball item recently and built it a couple times myself.

with the steraks buff it might actually be a decent purchase now almost every game, unless youre dealing with tank heavy teams.

But with Garen, I feel like the Sterak's changes really encourage him to go Sterak's and skip tri-force, for the same reason. That high base AD is what makes Sterak's good on him, but that doesn't have too much to do with tri-force. I can see it working, but I don't see it becoming optimal, you know?

That tri-force + sterak's combo is really good for champs that are going to auto a lot, and that's not garen.

reason is mainly because it creates a lot of burst on his q against squishies. when you get a surprise drop on the enemy adc and you get steraks/triforce, your q can dunk him for 60% of his health.

Riot massively increasing the price of steraks gauge means the DnD build isnt viable anymore due to gold costs... item 3078 item 3053 item 3053 (any weapon goes here) item 3193 item 3047

Ya got your enchanted accessory, gloves, weapon, boots, and armor. Steraks becoming MUCH more expensive means this build requires to much time to actually get rolling.
