Thoughts on Swain Reveal (Gameplay)

OK Riot, you've managed to keep me on the game a tiny bit longer with Swain's reveal finally, if only to try him out on PBE.

But in all seriousness, I'm happy with how this is looking. The new passive is fairly interesting and, like Reav3 said, completely different from what I've seen then the other soul mechanics. Soul fragments can travel quite a bit away from him to heal him and he can rip them out from immobilized targets and draw them toward him. And if I'm reading it correctly it's ANY IMMOBILIZED TARGET. That's interesting. Not sure yet if you rip a soul from an immobilized enemy though that they drop on on death as well.

Q I feel is a decent spell. Cone effect, deals damage once and can intercept multiple bolts for counterplay, yeah, yeah. But I actually love that they kept a small bit of his current passive in there, where if he kills units he restores a bit of mana. Not only that but they pierce on kill. This is obviously his farm and lane harass tool and I like it a lot.

W is...interesting as it's somewhat utility of vision but also helps with damage and helps feed passive. Idk it's interesting per say, I just don't know how to fully feel about it yet though since the vision isn't large enough like say Quinn's and I don't exactly know when you'd use it, except when finding a fleeing enemy in the FoW.

E I called it! Nevermove had to be kept but it was going to be in a different form. It's also interesting that it's kinda like a reverse Zoe Q where you send it out but send it back to you. The immobility on it is nice as it ties in with passive so you can root a fleeing enemy and then drag them back to you.

Ult.... I really don't know how to feel about this. On the one hand, it keeps the identity of a drain tank a bit but for a limited time and also adds the effect of the nova for the passive so it's not like you can have it on all the time. On the other, you don't get to turn into a giant bird anymore and that was an aspect that I really liked about Swain to possibly get me playing him more. It was a nice reference to Warhammer and the Lord of Change daemon (yes it's spelled right, that's how they spell it). Nevertheless, I think it's a good upgrade from constant drain tank (RIP Bird form 2018).

Anyways, those are my thoughts and I'm heavily looking foward to trying Swain on PBE but what are your thoughts? How do you, as a Swain main or regular feel about the rework at first glace?
