Why use Kassadin whe Leblanc exists?
The only reason to use Kassadin is his ult, and Leblanc had a better version of it from level 1, so... is there a reason to pick Kassadin when he isn't even ranged?

Leblanc is the early game gamble
Kass is the late game insurance.
Btw Kass isn't really anti-mage anymore except in a few abuse cases. That was when he had a silence and could trade against ability dependent champs with impunity. His passive and magic shield? They're survival tools that let him squeeze by laning vs many match ups that would otherwise be impossible.
Kassadin is pretty trash right now. This is coming from someone who constantly plays him..
He has no damage
That explains why I do better on k6 mid than on kassajesos mid :C
Why play Akali when you can just play minesweeper instead
LOL OMFG!
Kassadin and LeBlanc are a lot different. Both have a ton of burst and mobility, and both have a good amount of utility, but they work differently.
Kassadin is more sustained burst (weird concept), while LeBlanc is just one and done. Kassadin can fight more than one person effectively, while LB can only fight one unless incredibly fed. Kass can also get away with building a Sterak's, making him really tanky when combined with ROA and all that. Kass also has a bit of AD damage from his W and autos, which is always nice.
Overall though, I'd say LB is better for picking, while Kass is better at fighting who and where he wants to -- even in the middle of an enemy team if he wants to get the carry and ult out.
You clearly don't know what kassadin does, this post is ignorant because they play two different roles
Could you elaborate instead of just name call? The whole intent of this post seems to be to fill in the gaps in his/her knowledge by asking why Kassadin exists when LeBlanc exists. As for two different roles, they're both mobile AP assassins. I'm no assassin expert, but as for role, they both seem like really mobile ap assassins.
He's an anti-mage assassin, he gets a magic damage shield with his q which also stops channeled spells. He is good against low mobility mages and anyone with a channeled ability. He also is sturdier than LeBlanc is, or he's supposed to build sturdier. Less damage for more survival. LeBlanc is just a mage assassin, she's more generic in her role. More damage than Kassadin and less mobility if Kass builds mana. Kassadin is more of a niche pick than LeBlanc
But i mean... she can do what cassadin does... but better.

exactly, she is stronger than lvl6 Kassadin at lvl 1 + she can safely farm as she is ranged.
No, her w has a high cd, it does a lot less damage, and it is predictable/. Kassadin isn't

''it does a lot less damage''
What. A lot less damage THAN what?
Distortion does about triple the damage riftwalk does. And when kassadin has 800 mana costs on riftwalk, Distortion literally rivals the damage.
I could swear the more times you use riftwalk, the more damage it does, Also that is why you buy tear/ roa. Buy itself, distortion is hardly pokable. In lane, it isn't worth poking with because it is your escape. Again, their kits are not to be compared, because they do different things, they play different roles.

And i could swear if you read my fucking comment you'd see i wrote what you just did.
Look Ladies, the point is, Kassadin is trash atm and leblanc is just in a better spot. there is no reason to pick Kass over Leblanc.

they are both hypermobile AP assassins...
No, that is where you are wrong, Kassadin is an anti-assassin He will blow you up if you are squishy like a 100-0 burst mage . Assassin =/= mage
Kassadin has more sustained damage as well as utility, but it's true that kassadin is weak
