How are you supposed to counter Trundle?

Tell me one champion who can duel him and win. I can't think of anyone. Ranged champions don't count because they beat all melee champs when played correctly.

How about... stop dueling him? Play a champ who is stronger than him late or who has more use and utility to his team and just endure his obnoxious laning phase as best you can. Not ever match is about who wins if the two of your slam into each other at level 2.

Trundle is only good against ppl too stupid to realize that his ultimate is an auto-win 1 vs 1.

For one, any champion can counter any champion if you play them correctly. Two, if you want to counter trundle then play a ranged champion. By your logic, any ranged champion should beat trundle, so why even ask? Why did you ask how to counter trundle, then remove half of entire champion pool from your list?

And three, not all ranged champions beat all melee champions. Your logic is seriously messed up.

I'm not going to play semantics anymore. The point is that a very large number of champions have a hard time with Trundle. And his teamfight is also incredibly strong, since he can make any ARMOR/MR you've built completely useless. Trundle just has too much in his current state. He needs nerfs.

Okay, I'm saying this as a Trundle main, so, naturally, I may come off as a bit biased.

Trundle is, quite possibly, the most balanced champion in the game right now. What I mean by this is that his overall strength is heavily impacted by the enemy team. Sure, he can build pretty standard things most of the time and have decent success, but as far as his kit goes, there are other champions that do the tanky-immobile-bruiser thing better than he does. If he is facing most ranged champions, he has neither the inherent tankiness nor the hard CC necessary to have any major degree of usefulness.

However, all this comes as a tradeoff for him excelling in his design: an anti-bruiser. The way his kit is designed makes him the #1 counter to pretty much every AD bruiser in the game, as well as a tank destroyer. The reason so many champions seem to have trouble when facing him is because he counters so many champions, but, more often than not, if he does not counter his opponent, he is countered by his opponent.

As far as jungle trundle is concerned, I just feel that he never really has enough gold to get the items he needs to succeed, and his ganks are...lackluster, to say the least.

Basically, if you're an AD bruiser or a tank facing a trundle in lane, you're gonna have a bad time. If you're playing pretty much any other character class against him, you'll do just fine.

Oh, and Shyvanna really just wrecks your day at most phases of the game, in my experience.
