Seriously Riot why do you make us play what we dont want. I seriously hate support and top with a passion. As in like I hate every single second of every game that I play those positions. Yet you force me to play them in ranked over and over.

I hate it because i dont enjoy it, my teams hate it because i suck at it, and i lose LP every single time.

No one in the LCS has to play what they dont want. All in all I thought this was for fun... You making me play positions I dont want to because there is no organization in team select is not fun at all. I could understand if it was a drivers test, a school test, etc something required. But you are a video game come on, I work all day and I dont want to come home to play my few ranked games as positions I do not want.

Oh did I mention I just played my 2 games in promo as a support? Yeah thanks for that. It happens way more than you think. Awesome.

EDIT: By the way, lost both games, obviously. I can gurantee I would have won if i was mid, adc, or jungle. So justify that to me. Why is part of the game making me do this I have no desire to learn support or play it ever. And i will forever be held back in rank because of this. Sorry, play all roles well or you cant be successful.

I love your logic, you are are telling me to man up and play roles i dont want... in a video game... lol... why again... you offer no explanation other than oh well you just have to stop bitching. maybe if no one likes to play certain roles take a hint and remove them.. theres a reason no one would que for support because its stupidly boring just watching an adc cs why you stand there and wait to CC

No matter what you say, it won't make you sound like any less of a self-entitled brat who refuses to use the options given to him that will fix all of his issues. Premade ranked teams, your option is right there yet you don't care.

Also, Riot never said there will never be a Team Builder Ranked, and even if they had that can always change.

Edit: One final thing; As a Support Main who very much likes that role and am also willing to fill otherwise, I laugh at your struggle.

First you are so off point and trying really hard to make these issues the same thing. The only one that has relevancy is the Tom Brady one and even that is wrong because thats competitive play. To compare Tom Brady you need to compare an equal thing. Tom Brady is to the Patriots as Bjergson is to TSM. Its ranked competitive 5's and Professional football. To compare solo que you would have to compare it to pick up games where everyone just comes and gets picked randomly and has to suck it up.

They're working on it.

I suspect the big problem will be queue times for popular roles because lack of supports constrain the number of games that can be started.

I seriously don't know whats so hard about ranked teambuilder. you chose your role before you queue, then the order gets randomized so pick and ban phase is still the same, if people communicate well they can even still swap champs... Yes, queue time could be longer, but i rather wait longer and have people have the position they want and are good at.

I don't get it. I completely agree with OP. Every time i queue up for ranked i have to state that jungle isn't my best role and that i'd rather not play it. Whats the point in that?

The random pick environment breeds toxicity, the thing YOU RIOT wants to avoid so badly.

People in the LCS have to play what they don't want to play all the time in solo queue. Maybe just play them to be good enough at them to not automatically lose. Maybe stop complaining because you can't have what you want all the time. If you start a ranked 5s team, then yeah, you can play your precious carry roles to your heart's content, but in solo queue, you'll have to compromise sometimes.

People in the LCS don't have to play what they don't want because they are playing premade 5v5. How could you possibly compare solo queue to a premade group? Go make or join a team that needs the roles you play, it is very easy to do so. Use the Team Recruitment forum.

Probably because we'll have a new flood of bitchwhining on the boards, similar to the ones about Team Builder bemoaning the lack of supports or junglers, only this might be on a much grander scale since it's 'muh ranked'.

That's a professional premade sports team. Solo queue isn't premade at all. If you want to play mid every game, join a ranked 5s team as a midlaner and play mid every game.

Because thats what the LCS is. Premade Ranked 5's team. If you want Pro players streaming solo que they don't always get their role. They do play other roles as well because of the same reasons you don't get to play your role. Its not a low elo thing and don't compare it to organized play because that is the definition of Ranked 5's at its best.

And honestly, if you really want to play jungle/mid/adc all the time, it's not hard. Main a champ that can play 2 or 3 of those roles (like fiddlesticks for jungle/mid or ezreal for mid/adc). I doubt you're actually getting support EVERY SINGLE GAME unless you're just sitting there and not calling a role. Even when I fill in normals, I only support maybe 1 of 3 games. When you get into champ select say "mid, adc, jungle strongly preferred" and mention you're not good at support and top. Chances are, you'll get one of those roles.

1 in 3 roles... thats so much. This game is already so intense for ranking up, every single game makes so much difference. Yet 1 out of every 3 times I get stuck with something I hate. Something is wrong there, it completely flaws the entire system.

I actually like the way the rank system is as far as how its set up. The whole purpose of ranked in my opinion is to be diverse in every role an to able to overcome an climb. I do understand your point about being stuck with a role you don't want, I personally rarely have that problem because I'm the one that yells "Support," soon as champion select jumps up. Problem is everyone in ranked are so quick to yell mid, because they think that's the easiest lane to carry team to victory. I can't count how many times I see an Katarina or an Akali take full credit for a win because they have 20+ kills with minimum deaths. In reality they didn't carry squats the true carries of the game are your support players. If they didn't make plays, absorb majority of the damage these "hyper carries" wouldn't exist.

If you don't like support or top that's fine, you can always dodge your queue if you don't get what you want or you can just practice in those roles so that they will become a little more enjoyable. The other options is to duo queue with a buddy so that you have a 2/5 chances of getting the roles you want. Sadly most people don't care about what role you actually want if you don't have first pick of the draft order your pretty much not gonna get what you want.

However, good luck with your future ranked games, just remember you called what you wanted early an you warned the team that the roles your getting are your worst roles. So if you do bad and your team rages at you, just tell them ... I told you from the beginning, get over it. or mute them. Just do your best an make the most fun out the situation.

When I play DotA, I always have to play solo Offlane.

In DotA top and bottom are not symmetrical. But one lane is longer than the other for one team, and the other lane is longer for the other team.

Offlane = Longlane, means basically you've got a higher chance of being susceptible to ganks because you're further away from the safety of your tower.

And it doesn't matter, I always have to play offlane for some reason.
