The one nerf Lux definitely needs
Let's start by looking at other mages/supports who normally go on mid lane

E: Grasping Roots
ROOT DURATION: 0.75 / 1 / 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75
Now:
Q: Light Binding
ROOT DURATION: 2 seconds
She's literally the only champion in the game who has:
- Long range snare
- Which can pass through a minion
- Hit multiple targets
- Duration does not scale with level
The only other mage who has a snare which does not scale with level is LeBlanc and hers is much harder to hit on top of giving you time to escape even if it means burning a flash. Aside from that we have other CCs like Brands which are also a full on 2 seconds, but are conditional, much harder to hit and can be blocked by minions. And Viktor's which you can almost always just walk out of it.
Her Q snare needs to scale with level like pretty much every other mage in the game, I honestly don't know how this hasn't been done yet.
If she still needs further nerfs after this, that can be arranged, but I find it outrageous how this is allowed to get a free pass.
For those who don't know, here's some context:
Up until patch 5.17, her snare only applied half the damage and half the snare duration on secondary targets hit. When Riot removed that feature they didn't think to nerf her snare duration. The problem I see with this is that hiding behind minions to avoid her long snare is no longer that safe, which makes the laning phase against her much harder, which in turn allows her to dominate the early game more easily.
