There is a huge freaking difference between Off Meta, and a complete new Strategy

Here is an actual Off-meta support:summoner 3 Nunu item 3302: He sticks around Bot lane, helps out the ADC by being a secondary threat, and tanking some hits, while transitioning into the team's support when it comes that point in the game.

This is a Brand New Strategy: summoner 11 Nunu item 1039 : He takes the support role, but instead becomes a Second Jungler. He roams around and steals enemy jungle, while establishing Objective control with Dragons.

The first one will not get you banned. That is Off-meta that still respects what other players desire out of the game. Can someone be upset if it doesn't work out? Sure, but Individual play is not bannable. The second one, when done to people who have not agreed to it or do not like the idea of it, creates a bad time for the people involved. That is what is actually reportable, being inconsiderate to how others wish to play the game, in exchange for how you want to play the game.

While Off-Meta Nunu may not be perfect for the ADC, they still have a partner, they still have some help, and the lane doesn't become a Miserable 1v2 experience. If you want to try to change up the Meta, be considerate of others. There are plenty of fun people who are willing to try things. Hell, instead of an ADC, maybe play a Mage bot lane instead, since a Mage normally has CC to protect themself. But if you force others who wish to play the game one way, to have to play the game differently without their consideration, all you get are justifiably angry players.

Always keep this in mind. If we're not allowed to choose how other players play the game, why should others get to decide how we play the game? It's a two way street, and in a team game, we need to find compromise.

What makes off-meta Nunu not perfect? I will ruin lives as Nunu support.

But how do you compromise? What is your suggestion?

I can see (in this case), you stay in lane until I get x level/item. But that may be a very long "leash."

What else is there. Most people are saying stay bot lane and play like normal. That isn't a compromise either. Although that is the standard, so I won't disagree saying he shouldn't learn how to play at least one support. But if he agrees to this, he will get very few chances to actually use his strategy because people probably won't accept it. How many people need to accept it? What can you do to stop someone from reporting you after agreeing to it anyways?

Easy. Be like Bard. Let your ADC know that you're going to roam a lot, but you'll be back. That way, Nunu gets to roam and be a cheeky monkey in the jungle/other lanes, while also allowing the ADC to be able to go aggro when you get back.

For the report part, it's simple. People will report that he went an Off-meta pick, Nunu Support. That report will be thrown out because Off-meta picks aren't bannable, nor is individual performance. You fulfilled your obligation as being a support, just a Bard like support.

Thing is... Playing off meta isn't reportable, but neither is having a new strategy. Trolling on the other hand is. If he flashes over walls to smite camps, waits for his adc to get in lane, then ults the wave repeatedly, or tries to inhibit his team in other ways, then it would be reportable.
