Bought the God-King border but it not showing why?

They need to do a better job explaining the border system to inexperienced players

I've been playing since Beta but haven't really made an effort to participate in these events. I didn't know that the border only works if you have the champ skin. There's no disclaimer with the purchase of VS event overview to inform players that don't already know. I feel like this could be taken to the FTC for misleading business practices.

BTW, the Crown icons also aren't available without purchasing the skin. So you "own" them but can't see them in your icon list if you don't own the skin.

the borders have always worked like that there is no reason you should of expected it to be different this time it doesnt even make sense for the borders to work on other champs

Yes. I see a few people here on the boards saying they didn't know that's how the borders work, but that's why the name of the border is "God-King Darius border" or "God-King Garen border." >_< So like, I kiiiiiind of see how people may not have known if this is their very first experience with borders, but at the same time I dunno, they did put the skin name in the titles of the borders. Maybe Riot should have clarified further in the article about the VS event how borders work.

I thought it was an Event Border. Its the first border I even knew you could get. How stupid. Well going to try and get back my tokens
