I swear every game is Malphite vs. Riven Top right now because every Tank got gutted, and every Juggernaut is permabanned. Meanwhile the likes of Vayne and Kalista are running rampant bot lane so you have to CC them to death as Malphite, or obliterate them as Riven.

doesn't have a lot of CC though, his only real CC is his ult, and his Seismic Shard is a slow, though a strong one. However I do agree! Alot of top lane picks don't have a lot of CC while being tanky, but then again thats what Support is for, else that would be OP.

You could argue that alistar + flash, or Jannas Q are the same, but what matters is speed.
It's really hard to flash back or spellshield incoming rock solid in your face.

he has his ult to initiate, his e to slow the adc attack sppeed together with a randuins and a frozen heart, essentially neurering his damage. and seismic shard is a good ability to stick to the sucker. his strongest cc is the attack speed slow.
a full build malphite can reach more than 700 armor and 4000 hp. i found myself even stacking randuins on certain occations.
the problem are the adc imo. especially vayne. you NEED to be able to blow her up or play a full armor malphite with thornmail to even be able to deal with them.

thats bullshit. adc are certainly strong.
its just that they have to lane against these overtuned 4 marksmen and get destroyed and outscaled by them. compared to other classes adc as a whole are doing fine.
the armor nerfs as a whole recently buffed the entire class of champions.
people complain a lot that varus is weak for instance, when hes actually used in pro play right now. the other marksmen can still carry.

It's still mostly things to counter adcs (riven is pretty good at bursting them, malphite reduces their attack speed). Or things to protect adcs (like tanks)

Other than supports, tanks aren't really seeing play. I mean, Shen, Gnar, Malphite, and Mumu are pretty much it.

Lee Sin is the most popular non-bot champion, and is good at killing ADCs.
This is followed by Yasuo, who is good at killing ADCs (as you mentioned).
Next is Ahri, who assassinates ADCs easily.
Then Zed. Then Riven.
Lux is the first champion on the list who isn't at least partly an assassin. And she's followed by Mister Yi, Irelia, and Xin Zhao.
Anti-ADCs are played all the time, even if they aren't assassins. Malphite is an anti-ADC tank and is one of the most popular tanks in the game (maybe the most). Hell, Garen's job in team fights is more or less to be an assassin for the enemy ADC or mid laner.

but their biggest counters are played. malphite is played a lot recently. burst mages and assassins are still played.
if their biggest counters werent played a lot, what this would say is, that the class as a whole would actually be in a decent state and not dominating the game, so that youre forced to play their hardest counters if you want to have the best chance of winning the game.

I'm not fond of ADC top because a.) it's fairly boring, b.) it's very toxic and unfair to your lane opponent, and c.) most times, it's screws over your team by having 2 ADCS when you could have had a tank like Shen or Renekton, or a bruiser like Riven or Rumble. It basically forces your teammate to pick a tank jungler to compensate, amd leaves you with a weak Frontline and a lot of AD to stack armor against. However, that is my personal opinion.

Now if you build squishy quinn in top lane your fault for hurting your team like that. Even if you win lane you'll hurt team fights late game.

I've always disagreed with that tag because Riot is saying Quinn is a bruiser simply because she can become melee for 20 seconds on an ultimate cd. Not saying Quinn with tanky AD items like Frozen Mallet or Black Cleaver isn't fine, just saying that playing a "MARKSMAN" top, no matter how tanky you build him or her, puts strain on your jungler and support and forces them to pick tanks, when a tanky/bruiser top laner can do the same job and make better use of Teleport. :/
