Kind of bummed about the mages nerf

Have not played preseason yet, but based on reading boards and the patch notes its pretty obvious you are not going to see many mages mid lane. This really sucks because I am have been a huge mage fan and tend to like to play them mid. It was not that long ago where we would see talon, zed, yasuo, fizz, picked mid basically every game. At the end of season 5 this was still seen, but there was an influx of mages such as malz, brand, annie, Veigar, etc. I mean shit I even saw an Anivia mid the other day in ranked. Granted I am low elo, but I finally started busting out my lux mid right at the end of the season. it felt good going back to my roots and having some success vs malz, Viktor, Anivia, Ziggs (although the ziggs beat me up pretty good). I like mage fights because even if one "counters the other" you still have a decent chance of outplaying them and csing without csing under turret.

I don't want to play lux vs yasuo due to windwall, fizz because well.. fizz, talon because talon, etc. At the end of the day it comes down to skill, etc. but it sounds like there is no doubt going to be a large disadvantage going a mage mid, at least int he current 2016 Preseason.
