@Morello Will we be seeing any buffs to Galio or Yorick this upcoming season?
Galio is in a pretty healthy state, but he has some poor synergy with the new masteries. Only 2 Keystoenes really do anything for Galio, but they don't do that much. It's not too bad, but it's somewhat discouraging. I'd personally like for his Resolute Smite AoE to be a little bigger or get a small increase of projectile speed. It'd help a lot.
Yorick on the other hand, could use a bit of remembering. He currently doesn't really do anything well, because he has worse synergy with the new masteries than Galio. He used to be oppressive because he had a lot of sustain, but now he doesn't. Without clarity, he's extremely weak early game and has very little that he can fall back on.
To summarize: He does less damage, has less sustain and mana efficiency, and can't tank as hard as most top laners this season. He loses out in all three to nearly every toplaner in season 6, which is a sign of serious neglect of the champion. I know he's getting an eventual rework, but I'd like for him to be a viable pick.
A few things to help him out that I can think of, I really hope to see one of these happen:
- Make ghouls interact with Death Fire, Fervor, and Thunderlord's, this would help out a lot. Ghouls are currently a core part of his kit, but useless.
- A good buff on all of his spell's base damage so he can match up against other bruisers without losing out in general.
- Reduce mana costs and cooldowns a bit so that he can fight back in the lane. Darius does better damage and gets better heals from one ability that costs less mana than Yorick's. Yorick has to use a minimum of two to match the output of one, which isn't quite fair to his players.
The overwhelming majority of keystones don't really do anything for Yorick, and the masteries he needs are scattered between the three trees without there being enough points for him to get them.
