Viktors Laser Direction Tweak

Anybody else finding it frustrating as Viktor when you intend to shoot your laser it tends to swivel about immediately? There should be an easy fix. Instead of the origin point of the laser being the cursor, why not have the laser cursor be where the laser ends? It should keep the same distance, damage, all that is fine. I'm just saying if we want to make our laser shoot somewhere else, it's much easier for the person to redirect the arrows trajectory by the end point, rather than the source point.

This would make it easier to always shoot straight if you just want to quick cast as well. Just some game development device from a fellow coder.

I don't understand.

When you cast his laser now, the first click starts the laser origin, then you click to set the direction. Alternately for smartcast the button press starts the laser and the button release casts the laser in the direction of your mouse cursor relative to the original button press. The intended use is that you "draw a line" and the laser goes on that line, so long as you press/release/click at the right times.

What you want to have happen is the other way, so that when you first click it sets a target point then you drag backwards to where you want to cast it from? That seems really unintuitive. At the very least making it a lot harder to aim your laser if you need to make fine adjustments during cast

NO, go practice more.

Yeah, that would completely ruin how the spell casts. If you have trouble because you never played him until his rework (shame if you didn't) and just aren't used to it, then know that how it is right now is the best possible way to cast it. You just need to practice not rushing it.

I think your all misunderstanding me on how it should work. Cause the way you guys are describing has perfect valid concerns. Maybe I should clarify further. If you notice while casting, the range circle that's displayed only shows how far your are able to cast the source point of the laser. Ah nvm I'm just bad at describing crap. I'd need pencil paper and show you how it works in my mind. Hopefully others will understand my point of view.
