buff taric

dude needs help in a serious way. Stun is unreliable, q doesnt heal for crap, the shield should scale off of his hp not the hp of the champ you cast it on. the only thing he has going for him vs old taric is the fact that his ult is better other then that healing is weaker you no longer give armor to allies your stun is no longer singl;e target and with that is not that reliable

Please don't. Everything you've all suggested is horrible. New Taric takes finesse to learn. His kit is simple, but you have to learn timing. The only way he should be buffed is a reduction in early Q's mana costs, and that is it. No more, no less. He's currently sitting at a 52% win rate, so clearly I am not the only person who knows how to do great things with him.

i know how to play new taric. an increase in ap ratio on q and e would be nice.

This is new Taric in a nutshell.

Wild Taric main who likes old Taric more than new one

I like the rework and feel that he is in a perfectly fine place. He has a positive winrate and a decent playerbase. Most of the people who are complaining about Taric are the guys who haven't put in games on him as over half his playerbase has 15 or less games on Taric.

On top of that while many champions fall off in winrate as their players get to high numbers of games with them (Due to players rising in rankings until they get matched vs people of equal skill reducing winrate) Taric players get vastly better after large numbers of games on them, putting them up to an over 60% winrate which is very good.

Taric is in a strong spot right now and is powerful in a lot of different ways. Just because you aren't finding success on him doesn't mean he needs buffs. On top of this you are clearly not analyzing old vs new Taric's strengths very well.

Old Taric's ult was arguably just as strong, providing over 12k gold worth of stats to his team with a possible 66% uptime of the ult buff. In terms of that his current ult is on a roughly equal power level, it just feels more impactful because stats are hard to notice.

In terms of advantages new Taric has over old Taric: He has aoe healing, a lot more damage due to his passive, better single target protection with W shield + better armour boost. His stun is also now not only AOE but is AOE in two different areas, which is a powerful tool as it helps negate his weakness of no mobility by attaching it to champions in different locations.

He is also less susceptible to ganks and responds to allied ganks much better. In return for constant AOE healing, the ability to influence multiple areas of fights, AOE stuns, and better single target defense he lost out on some reliability and instant healing.

There were also a number of subtle buffs that greatly improved his QoL. He got an Attack Range buff, so he is no longer the lowest in the game despite having had a passive that requires AAing. He got aa resets in his abilities and much faster animations as Q used to have a very long cast time, often making it too late against burst.

I will openly say that I enjoyed playing old Taric more. That being said I still main him and know him to be a strong champion who is healthier for the game and more enjoyable for new people to play. He is not in a position to need buffs so long as you are playing intelligently and know what his matchups are.

first off old tarics ult was trash and allies at 16 only gainied 30 ap and ad... thats horrible. remember allies always gain half of what taric gained. old taric could go top and win most matchups due to armor and stun and did mroe damage. old taric is the only champ i could beat a fed trynd or fed yi with

Oh I know the stats on it. I know all about old Taric. I have been a Taric main ever since I bought the champion about 1-2 months after I started playing. It was one of the most overwhelming ults in the game. The stats don't lie.

Riot has a habit of overbuffing Auras to the point of OP because people don't feel like they are strong. Point being you felt like Taric's ult was weak even though I calculated the damage a while back and even with 3 teamates who are utilizing the stats it gives at about half efficiency and a Taric who isn't using it at all beyond the initial damage hit and 1 teamate who is a jax (Who utilized the ult better than any other champ off the top of my head) Taric's ult added a couple thousand damage for his team. That isn't including that you could drop the CD below 15 seconds and it lasted 10 seconds.

Auras always feel like trash, then people complain so Riot overbuffs them until people stop complaining even though that is way more power than they ever should have. Look at Aegis, Runic Bulwark, etc etc. All aura items, all removed/reworked because if they weren't OP then people wouldn't buy them because they felt weak even if they were nothing of the kind.

That is why Taric got a rework, because he felt weak even when he wasn't.

As for Taric going top and winning most matchups? You are preaching to the choir here. I loved old Taric top. Number of first bloods I got vs ignite Riven's at lv 1-2 was ridiculous. That being said it was not an interactive lane since Taric was just a pile of stat checks.

New Taric can also crush top. He does more damage than he used to after 1-2 items, all he lost was a bit of W max dmg powerspike in return for stronger and more consistent damage throughout the game. However the difference is that now he is interactive for both the player and the other laner. Taric can still beat a fed trynd or Yi. I would argue that he is better at it too because his ult stops lifesteal. Heck, I killed an incredibly fed Vayne as a 1-4-something Jg Taric a while back. Even got stunned into a wall and she chunked 2/3rds of my health before I could even start fighting. Then I killed her. Old Taric would not have done that.

I honestly don't even know why you are calling for Taric buffs, you have an almost 60% winrate on him. That means he is fine.

Old taric ult was good but you're underestimating the new taric ult.

12k gold of stats for you and your team with a 66% uptime vs 2.5 second delayed invulnerability for 2.5 seconds with a minimum 55 second CD.

They are both situationally powerful. The difference is that the Old ult was situationally powerful and up in ever situation. New Taric's ult is much easier to mess up and has a very long ult CD that no longer benefits from his passive. It can definitely change fights around but for every time it turns a big fight around there are another 4 times in which it gets wasted. Old Taric's ult was basically always useful and always up. In regards to that I consider it more useful, but with less immediate impact.

Personally I felt that old Taric's ult out-scaled new Taric's ult in terms of usefulness due to it's constant uptime, even if the individual ult was weaker.

(For reference old Taric could ideally ult 3.5 times per new Taric ult. I consider 3 old Taric ults>1 new Taric ult) That is in perfect situations for both of them. Even in sub-par situations I consider 2 old Taric ults to be worth as much as new Taric ult in teamfights, although it is slightly weaker in lane and the new ult is situationally more useful for things like tower diving.

all his moves did damage. maybe besides q but u get the point. new taric only 1 move does damage and its not reliable. old taric had high base damage. also starting with 100 armor at lvl 1 was busted.

And his Passive and E do way more damage now than they did before. On top of that E is AOE which adds a lot of damage for a teamfighter like Taric. Also he autoattacks 2-3 times as much as before which easily makes up for Ult damage in terms of the boost it gave to himself as he did not make good use of either AD or AP.

Old Taric would have taken a good minute+ to kill a Nautilus. New Taric can kill a Nautilus much faster than that. Old Taric had little kill pressure against anyone who didn't want to stick around. New Taric can actually chase and kill in a reasonable amount of time.

You are only remembering his old early game damage which was higher than new Taric's. New Taric scales substantially better throughout the game than before. If you want me to math it out for you I would be more than happy to latter. Currently I am packing so I can't do it but if you insist I can math out old Taric vs new Taric damage at various points in a game.

old taric did way mroe damage becuase his w ruduced there armor and u gainied armor. his heal is very underwhelming and thats with me building redemtion and mikhails for a extra 30% increase helaing and shields. i just wish the w scaled off of ur hp not the persons hp . yah free face of the mountain but still. yes i take windkeepers blessign becuase its better on him then aby oother keystone. so a extra 40% healing on allies as well as making them tankish via stats is a lot better then anything else. also new taric can dup baron at 20 min i fhe has knights vow . i do it all the time becuase baron doe no damaeg to u becuase ur getting healed and such. im still messign around with quints so far i use gold income becuase lets face it . relic shield has the worst gold income out of all the items

Couple things. Taric W didn't actually boost his damage that much. Old Taric has low AS and no AA resets. That meant he was getting very little out of his armour shred because his abilities did magic damage. It was a tool for boosting ally damage, not his own.

His new passive has a base damage on it and outscales old Taric's passive in terms of damage significantly as the game goes on. His E now has a better late game armour scaling than his old W, and has base damage to match ideal old Taric E, which you didn't actually get off very often, so it is anywhere from 1-1.5 times the old damage.

It also deal damage in an AOE, and a larger one than old W. Having a shield on W boosts his survivability substantially and I would argue that that nets him more damage through passive in the long run.

If new Taric wants more damage than old Taric he just picks up a Titanic and easily outscales him that way due to new passive. His whole kit has AA resets and AS boosts in it which give a lot of hidden power since he weaves 2-3 times as many autos in as before and he has pretty good base AD.

Also you ask for buffs then say doing things like Baron at 20 minutes is easy? That clearly says that Taric is strong enough as is.

Btw run Armour quints. They are highly efficient and boost both your survivability and damage since you scale of bonus armour instead of total now. Gold regen quints are always sexy and I used to run them but the power of armour quints means that you can take more punishment and deal more out. Remember that if the extra armour gets you 1 assist every 25 minutes then it is equal to a quint of gold. Every 8.3 minutes to equal 3 quints of gold. If 13 extra armour can't get you an assist every 8.3 minutes then I guess you can take Gold per 10.
