How op is malphite in the current meta.

AD champions are picked a lot more. This also means the tank meta is extremely popular. There's even a new ad item coming. Malphite, mundo, kench, and rammus who were always strong meta picks are now God teir and the bruisers dropped to tier 1. I played 2 games as malphite recently. I one against radius and one against Mundo. Both times I went 10 and 0. He's an insane lane bully minus his shit mana pool. He works good against any full ad top except for maybe gangplank with his cannons and his pistol. That's how he avoids you. But is malphite deserving of God tier.

Very. He's pretty much the closest thing to freelo in the game atm and he's almost never banned.

I don't know about "insane lane bully" since he has rather prohibitive mana costs, but he definitely seems to be in a strong spot to me

i dont think hes a lane bully at all. if you mind your business hes not gonna kill you unless he gets a gank.

Popularity of AD champions seems less important than popularity of glasscannons in general - those champs do nice with Malphie and poorly against him. If both teams consist mostly of squishy, high-damage champions, one that strikes first will most likely win the fight and Malphie ensures just that.
