No Jungler EVER Helps My Lane, WHY?

Best Ekko NA··5 votes·2,062 views

I'm sick of it. "You were doing fine", they say... "You were winning", they say. I DON'T CARE, GANK MY LANE. I hate Jungling, and I hate Junglers even more. Junglers never look my way until it's too late, and I can't stand it. When they've AFK farmed or they've ganked the other lanes and lost them.. then they finally decide maybe they should come to my lane? THERE'S 5 ENEMIES, QUICK RUN OVER TO HIS LANE.. HE'S DEAD, THE LAST OUTER IS GOING TO DIE, RUN RUN RUN GO...

You really want to know what turns me into an asshole? THIS. THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT TILTS ME AND TURNS ME INTO AN ASSHOLE.

I understand it's not mandatory for a Jungler to babysit any lane. I don't expect a Jungler to babysit my lane. Do you know what I expect? I expect the Jungler to acquire vision, to track the enemy Jungle. To be ready when the enemy Jungler and Support randomly appears in my lane to gank me. I EXPECT MY JUNGLE TO BE USEFUL AND TO DO HIS JOB. If my Jungler feels he can get the even trade in another lane at my expense, that's completely fine. I'll look at that and think "it's even". I'm not an irrational person. If they think for one second that I'm going to keep my sanity while getting completely fucked over again and again, and it's something that could have been prevented, they have another thing coming.

When the Jungler dies 10+ times in other lanes, that's 10 deaths the Jungler created that can't be made up for anywhere else. That's 10 deaths, that no matter how much farming a solo laner does, he or she can't acquire the gold from in an even lane. To me, personally, I believe if a Jungler dies more than maybe 6-7 times it's unacceptable. Junglers are around enemies less than any other player in the game, therefore it shouldn't even be possible that they are dying more than their laners in an average length game.

I've been Jungling a lot lately, because I felt like the issue is always the Jungler. I'm not someone who likes to be like that, but the past several months I've been losing my mind in this game playing Top lane. Junglers don't ever come Top, it's an isolated island.. but as soon as I begin winning lane, all the enemies are in my lane and no one from my team is there to help me. My laners are facing no one, but they aren't getting towers or objectives. When I look around about mid game, there's 3-5 enemies constantly in my lane and the rest of my team is farming like there's nothing going on. It's horrid, and I can't even begin to understand why it's happening. I'm not particularly strong, and I'm definitely not fed enough to fight many enemies alone probably 90% of the time.

When I play Jungle, it's a completely different story. After switching from Top to Jungle, I had a 68% win rate in roughly 60 games. Junglers have FAR too much impact on games right now. It's not even fair. I can win game after game after game as a Jungler, yet the instant I switch to Top lane, I struggle to win even half of my games. I'm a FAR superior Top laner to Jungle... I never Jungle and I do not like Jungling. I lose my lane maybe once out of 10 games as a Top laner. For some reason however, I do not win as a Top laner. The Junglers in my games are useless and it impacts the game so much that it becomes nearly impossible to turn games around.

I'll likely go back to Jungling, as I really hate losing for no reason. I would like to understand more WHY this is happening however. Why is it that Junglers don't gank top? Is Jungle not a popular role, are these players auto filled? Also, as a side note, I have politely asked Junglers to gank for me. The problem is, almost everytime they'll say something like "OK" and then they'll never come. I'm pretty damn good at wave management, I buy pink wards and use the plants to clear out the enemies wards. Nothing helps. Is the other side of the map literally that important? I really would love to keep playing mostly Top, but I can't find any reason at all to do so.

Here is the reason. You don't know what it's like to actually jungle so you don't see the big picture. When I'm jungling I will scan the map while I'm making my clears I will look for ganks with high chance of success or threats to try to help my team. If I scan a lane and they seem to be doing fine and are pushing to enemy team I will focus my time elsewhere. I have in some games been so focused with helping my bot lane then go to dragon to see mid lane open so I gank mid then I see the enemy jungler running to bot lane so I run down to help. All this time I didn't have time to go top lane. And then my top laner wants to say something cute like "guess we don't have a jungler" or "shit jungler does nothing" and you bet your ass after that comment I'm not making top lane even a small priority.

And honestly you strike me as that kind of player who plays really stupid dies to a gank then yells at your own jungler. I tell you one thing a very very easy way to never see me ganking a lane is complaining about it. A laner bm's me once, especially something stupid that THEY did, I will never go to that lane the rest of the game. You want to yell at your jungler and tilt your own team you can very much play by yourself.

I'm not a jungler, but every high elo jungler I see on streams and stuff always say, "always play around the winning side and never gank the losing lane". Like I said I can't talk from personal experience but this sounds really reasonable to me. If you play around the losing side you're just attracting attention from the enemy team to the weakest link on your team, while they have their strongest link playing on their hometurf. Doesn't sound like a good strategy to me.

When I'm the losing lane I play passively and ask the rest of the team to focus elsewhere so I can farm in peace and get back into the game. If the enemy team focus on me I expect my team to focus on the other side of the map and try to snowball the winning lanes and hopefully secure more objectives than the enemy can take from my lane. As the losing lane I'll be doing more stalling the enemy as they waste time trying to kill me instead of trying to stop the strong lane on my team. Plus, the last thing I want when I'm behind is for my team to try and make plays around me when I'm frankly in no position to follow up.

Depends on how bad the lane is losing. As a jungler, you can influence and reset the losing lane if it is still in its early stages. If one of your lanes died once and you see an opportunity to gank successfully (net a kill or cause enemies to burn resources), I would personally go for it just to balance things out again (especially if it was bot lane).

For another thing, it notifies the enemy lane to acknowledge that they have an enemy jungler keeping an eye on that lane, resulting in the enemy lane to be less likely to continue to aggressively force another fight, giving you the opportunity to gank the winning lanes. Call it a mind-trick of sorts and it have a tendency to work.

As a jungler, I will do my best to show up. Even if it means scaring off the enemy just a little bit when they get pushy. The only reason I would never gank is if my team is pushing too hard and doesn't give me enough security to successfully dive without giving out a death as well.

The worst thing you can do as a jungler is to not show your presence to the enemy team. As a laner, the thing that bugs me the most is that our jungler doesn't even bother to show up to our lane despite us asking for a gank, especially after 1 death. They don't show up until it is to the point where we are losing the lane badly, despite playing safe...all because the enemy team knows our jungler is blind to our lane and able to keep pushing and pushing and pushing to keep gaining an advantage without fear of being retaliated.

Or most of the time the opposite.

You leave the losing lane alone and hope the losing laner play rest of the laning phase safe if not keep the damage minimum and end the laning phase quicker. If you try to fix the losing lane you are basically taking a big chance of losing your influence on other lanes as well as giving up your experience and gold.

As a jungler, you focus helping the even or even already ahead lanes to snowball for better chance of winning the game.

As mentioned, there is a caveat. If it's early enough to reset it, you should if there is an opportunity. Not all games are going to give you the chance to gank the other two lanes on a regular basis either. Being a jungler is never simple and each game plays out differently.

It is stupid to continue to gank a losing lane repeatedly. However, it's also equally stupid to not give your losing lane a chance to come back if they are only behind a little bit and you see an opening to make a difference.

If you knew anything about jungling, not just winning a match as a jungler, you wouldnt be complaint about not getting help. Just had a game couple minutes ago iwas top lane, and my jungler forgot smite. I lost first tower but I didn't feed I farmed and focused on what I could do. I didnt get A SINGLE gank from my jungler. Did I whine and moan?? No, I focused on what I could do and in return I was tanky and did enough damage to help my team even closer to the win.

If you cry in lane about losing YOUR lane that's your fault not the junglers. Learn the game

Yet another assumption, damn all you do is assume everything... where did I say I am losing lane..? Please quote it. I said even in my post, I usually WIN my lane. I'm not crying about anything to do with my lane... so get out of here with that bullshit and re-read the post before you make yourself look like a jackass.

Umm I think you just made yourself look like a jackass. So let me get this straight you win your lane most of the time, then why you bitching about jungler never helping you? If you win your lane you should be helping other lanes and helping you jungler. But instead you still complain about jungler never helping.

Bro you are just complaining to complain.

If you are winning lane and the enemy top laner has half of a brain, it is just a waste of time to come gank for a jungler. You can already secure kills by yourself and the enemy should be passively playing under tower. Do you expect your junger to come dive and give a 1 for 1 letting the enemy catch up? I think you just have no concept of how to play when you have a lead in top lane. Being ahead doesn't mean you go ham and ignore everything else that is happening. If the enemy sends 3 top, you should have known about it before hand and backed off to your tower. If you know they are focusing your lane, then just freeze and deny as much farm from the enemy as possible to make it so they can't catch up. Don't whine about a jungler who isn't winning your lane for you when you can already win it yourself.

You must be a very enjoyable person to play with -1.

Because we start off with item 1041 or item 1039, which puts us behind everyone as far as damage goes. Our farm is spread out across the map, which means we have to be moving everywhere to keep up with everyone els in gold. We also have to worry about 2 other lanes, that may not be doing so well.

Bottom line is that it's a bitch to have to go from top to bot because they keep pinging for help.

Have to say, Riven lanes are really unreliable on ganks and much worse, really unreliable to snowball from benefits even after gwtting kills of because of how tanks and enchanters thrive.

And that is not even counting the legendary ragequit memes. I swear most junglers BET firsthand rivens and yasuos to fail prior the game and put them on low priority.

Who said anything about champion I am using? Do you know what the #1 problem on the boards is? It's called stereo types. I play just about every single champion in the entire game from Aatrox to Zilean. Just because there's the word Riven in one of my account's names doesn't mean I only sit around playing Riven.

The biggest problem is resources. Junglers are spread pretty thin trying to help every lane and if we kind of forget about one sorry we're trying to manage 3 lanes + the enemy jungler + dragon + herald(baron if after 20) all while trying to farm and get gold while worrying about item builds. so in reality the jungler is going to have to camp a lane to get the resources to be useful mid-late game. now I'm not saying it's ok for them to do nothing while you get 3-5 manned but they are trying to do a lot so try to take that in consideration.

Basic tips to get jungler's attention to get ganks:

  1. item 2055
  2. item 3340
  3. Don't fucking push your lane.
