thoughts on AD/Tank champs building Liandry's?

+10% overall damage (2%/s) Spells/Abilities burn target for 1.5% (2.5% if slowed) max HP/s for 3s +300 HP

Is it good on anyone that does not use AP?

If you can slow a target and can reapply often its a constant max HP burn

Q applies it and a slow for 1s so each Q gets 5.5% max hps Passive applies it in AOE Ult applies it and slows for 4s so bonus 7.5% max hps If you build then you get even more out of Q and passive because your auto attacks slow.

Everything applies it and he also has build in slows.

Q applies it E applies it R applies it

Im sure there are a lot more that do.

The issue is if you can keep reapplying it does it make up for not getting an AD or Tank item?

The lack of mpen on your AD / tonk champion is going to hurt the %maxhp damage. I'm not sure it's worth a slot.

What if you take Conqueror? Will have to look and see if the damage turns to true damage.

20% of 1.5% Max HP is only 0.3% Max HP being converted to true damage.

Buying Liandry's on a champion without serviceable AP scaling is a huge waste of gold, regardless.

Im a think out side the box person and love playing with oddball builds is why I even looked at this as a option.

it's actually not too shabby on Volibear if you combine it with a pen item or wit's

let's you contribute to team AP damage and threaten tanks even a little bit

Iv been playing around with it on Urgot because his fights are longer then 2s and his passive applies it. Iv seen a difference when fighting tanks top lane and they tend to build armor (because ad champ). Iv also LOVED the Ult damage because some times they get a heal off or a POT and are right on the edge of the 25% but with the burn it pushes them over.
