Too much damage...

So, please explain to me, how people are complaining about damage being very high in the game, while also complaining that shields and heals are so high and often as well? I mean, if damage is too much, then logic says that there should be shields and heals to counter that, but people seem to want both of them removed which makes no sense. They cry about assassins being weak since they can't oneshot anyone with all the shields, yet when they buff someone's damage to the point that they can cut through a shield, they are calling them broken.

How does it work? Damage is high but shields are broken enough to counter it, or shields are high but damage is broken enough to counter them?

Assassin players are the special snowflakes of League. If they can't kill squishies they go cry to Riot. We shouldn't be catering towards assassins. They're not healthy for this game and really only fun for the assassin player.

Pretty much this. I've payed attention to the forums enough to know that anything that has to do with mages doing dmg gets complained about. Pretty much anything that doesn't have to do with tanks suriviving a 5 man or an assassin backlining and one shotting an ADC will get down-voted.

ADCs and mages get the most hate for some reason.

Best part of all is when they complain about snowball and short games but they also they miss Season3, probably the most snowballing season when a Zed or a LB ahead was game over.

the shields only counter certain classes, so some are fine with it while others are not. The shields stop burst but not sustained. So an assassin loses all viability, but an ADC can push right through. I am fine with some shields, but when the other player is caught out of position and they put up a shield that is almost half their life worth it is a bit dumb. It is too forgiving to sloppy play. It allows for prolonged turret dives that should not be possible. It completely negates a lot of mages who have a burst and then large cooldowns. If it was just support skills then fine, but when anybody can pop a shield like that it is just dumb.
