I just had this happen in champ select xD

"We don't have any tanks" (which wasn't true*) "We are so dead"

first blood one min in "I knew it"

*Elaborating on the tank idea, we had one tank (Garen) and they had a Renekton and a Thresh. Garen is super tanky (I'd say more so than Rene) and Thresh is not very tanky at all, especially with support income, but clearly that's why we lost, not because the player who tilted in champ select had 10 deaths in a 24 min game

But Garen is not really a tank because he cannot peel or lock people down.

He is tanky but not a tank in the sameway Mundo is tanky but not a tank. Nautilus, Malphite and Sion are tanks they threaten opponents with cc, they can hard engage fights and they can protect their allies.

I think I can throw out some advice for those who get like this. I used to lose morale easily in normal games. I know it isn't ranked, but I feel like it's still applicable advice.

Instead of trying to play like the perfect player, you should try to focus on not getting upset period. Tell yourself you won't give up whatever happens in-game. Try to be comfortable and take care of yourself before you play (eat, sleep, stay warm, do your laundry, etc.). You might just get better because you'll be able to look at your mistakes without feeling like giving up. When you see others making mistakes, you might be more inclined to help them.
