Offensive masteries question

I'm just wondering about blade weaving and spell weaving. It says damaging an enemy with a spell increases damage, but it doesn't say how long the effect lasts. I play udyr a lot, and I'm wondering if these masteries are good for him. Or am I better investing in other parts of the offensive tree?
