Shen Rework (Complete)
This idea is for a complete reworking of Shen. For my thoughts on how to bump shen's viability with as little change as possible, see my other thread (link provided).
So... Onward!
Base Stats:
Movement speed: 345 HP growth stat: 90 Starting HP: 585
Passive: Feint/Ghostwalk
Shen takes 7/8/9/10% less damage from basic attacks and 2/3/4/5% less damage from AoE spells at levels 1/6/11/16. After taking damage from 10 such attacks, Shen enters stealth for 1.5 seconds. While he remains in stealth, he can move through units and gains 30% increased movement speed. Shen's next attack after exiting stealth within a 3 second window is an AoE attack that restores 20 energy. Shen must wait 5 seconds before gaining stacks again for this passive.
Q: Vorpal Blade_______Energy Cost: 60/55/50/45/40________Cooldown: 6 at all ranks.
Shen throws one of his blades in a straight line (range 525) that deals damage to the first target hit and marking them for 3 seconds.
Damage: 60/110/160/210/260(+50% Bonus AD)(+50%AP) While they are marked, Shen may reactivate this ability to cast "Shadow Strike".
Q(2): Shadow Strike_____Energy Cost: 20 at all ranks______Note: (cooldown starts after this is cast or passed by)
Shen strikes "from the shadows" appearing behind his target (range 525) attacking them and dealing bonus magic damage equal to 4/5/6/7/8% of the target's max health and healing for the same amount. The target is then slowed by 30/35/40/45/50% for 2 seconds.
W: Ki-Strike________Energy Cost: 60/55/50/45/40_________Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6
Ki-Strike modifies Shen's next basic attack and will act as an auto attack reset. Shen's next basic attack deals bonus magic damage equal to 55%AD(+10% Shen's bonus health). If this attack his an enemy champion, 50% of the cost is refunded.
E: Shadow Dash________Energy Cost: 120/110/100/90/80________Cooldown: 18/16/14/12/10
Shen Dashes in a straight line, attacking all enemies he comes across. Champions hit by this attack take 70/90/110/130/150(+50% AP) and are taunted for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds. While taunted, enemy champions must attack Shen and their basic attacks deal 50% damage. Minions hit are not taunted but take double damage. Each Champion hit by Shadow Dash restores 20 energy to Shen.
R: Stand United/Eye of Twilight______Energy Cost: 0 at all ranks_______Cooldown: 160/140/120
Shen enters the shadows, becoming untargetable and shields all nearby allies for 100/200/300(+10% Shen's max health)(+50%AP). Shen remains in the shadows for 3 seconds or until one of his allies' shields is broken. If he waits the full duration, he appears where he left. If an ally's shield is broken, Shen appears next to that Ally.
Eye of Twilight(Passive): While Shen is stealthed (via passive) or in shadow (via stand united), he reveals hidden units within 400 units of himself or shielded allies.
THOUGHTS:
PASSIVE The passive is a tank/mobility ability. This passive will allow Shen to be a bit tankier even without his Shield, but will also allow him to reposition in teamfights. The AoE attack afterwards should help (if only a little) with Shen's poor wave clear. Combined with his E dealing damage to minions, I think we have a win.
Q Shen's vorpal blade is now a linear skill shot that affects the first target it hits, rather than a point and click. It's a skill shot now, which means it can have a bit more power than the old one. The added mobility and slow makes it a good chase tool if you can land the first shot. The heal is something that would have to be tested for exact numbers, but I think it should be fine. The bonus damage based on the target's max health lets Shen's damage not fall off too quickly and even when building tank, he can still be a threat in fights.
W Moved Feint to the passive, so Ki-Strike was moved to here. Since it is now an auto attack reset, it will still be useful in a duel, and can still be used on towers. This attack, of course, is one of the reason's people will be still be a threat in fights. Also, this will work well with sheen procs.
E Shen still doesn't have a ton of CC, but with his taunt scaling, he will certainly be a threat mid to late game.
R Shen is a ninja/protector and this skill showcases that. It is no longer global, Shen wants to be with his party to protect them. The shield breaking will bring Shen out of stealth near a target, which leads to some fun counterplay options. If you break the shield of a front-liner first, Shen will appear there, and not by the squishy you kill second. Forget and break the squishy's shield first, and Shen will appear and try to stop you.
OTHER THOUGHTS
Just some fun ideas I thought would help Shen fit his role as a ninja AND as a tank/protector. Numbers, of course, are exactly that. So please comment on what you think of the ideas, not necessarily the numbers.
Obviously, I am not a huge fan of anything that involves Shen losing his global ultimate, I also recognize that RIOT believes that his ult has a lot of his power budget tied up in it. (See my other post for buffing Shen with no changes). Thoughts on the ideas here?
