The thing is though we are actually giving it a chance, and it is bad.
Lots of people are still trying to make the current Aatrox work, but he's just worse than he was before in his current state. I'm not sure why there is all this malice towards Aatrox mains who are just pointing out flaws in the new design and why the old one was better. Granted I get that the spam of two sentence threads saying "GG Rito thanks for Gutting my main hehe XD" is getting annoying but when there are people who are making in depth analysis as to why he's worse, such as in the thread about how the new Aatrox struggle even more in the Jungle than he did before, and people are just being openly hostile.
Why is it because we are suggesting that Riot has actually made a poor decision with this choice, and that is unacceptable to some people?
Many Aatrox mains are willing to work with the new passive as horrible as it may be, but just because it is new doesn't mean we can't tell that it is weak. Honestly most Aatrox mains aren't opposed to a total rework in the roster update, and many were actually looking forward to it. The problem is that for most mains, Riot has taken a champ which we loved and just made him un-fun to play.
And yes before you say that we are just building him wrong, Aatrox mains have been working since he came out to find something which is decent on him in the Discord. So for the majority of people aren't just stuck in their ways and are un-adaptable.
Honestly we are willing to help Riot make changes which are good for him, the reason why most of us sound like we're bitching like children is because Riot has yet to even reply to any post asking about the changes and the rest of the community is treating us with outright hostility. That's why for the most part I think there is a thread spam, because we mainly just feel like no one is taking what we say seriously.
Honestly we already know Riot has changes prepared for a hotfix if his performance carries on as it is. Perhaps after the buffs the thread spam will subside, but at the moment that probably won't stop until everyone just chills a bit. Seriously some people need to not be so eager to defend Riot, Some Aatrox mains need to chill and try to have more of a discussion than "THX RiTO Ruining MY MaIN". And Riot can appease this entire situation if the actually have a discussion in a thread with Aatorx mains instead of halfheartedly commenting on his current power, then going on to answer comments about Rek'Sai and completely ignore everything else in the thread relating to Aatrox.
a mini rework and the entire community said it was going to absolutely gut him? Remember how a few weeks later it turned out he actually was broken OP? Remember when they nerfed him and the community said he was absolutely gutted this time? Remember how he currently has a 55% WR still and probably needs more nerfs?
got reworked and the "mains" said she was absolute trash now? Remember how she was actually insanely broken even after multiple rounds of nerfs?
was complete shit after his rework? Remember that he's actually extremely strong with almost no direct buffs?
some time? I'm not saying he is or isn't weak, but we can't call 'the end is nigh!' on the very first day. Can we stop claiming the apocalypse is upon us until we give it some time?
