Who in their right mind did the Deathcap build changes?

How in the world is deathcap ever supposed to be built over item 3135 if the damn thing builds out of 2 1250g item 1058. At the very least make it item 1058 +item 1026 + item 1026 (losing 20 raw AP should balance itself out when you actually build it as 40% of 120 is 48). Legitimate no way to ever get to this thing now other than it be your 5th or 6th item and item 3135 is already a more insanely broken item for its gold cost making death cap always after it which is ironic because usually you want to kill squishies before tanks as a mage.

Right now its do you have 1250 g . Y = item 1058. N= item 1026. 2nd time you go back. Do you have 1250 g. Y = item 1058 . N=???. Seriously like did you even think of the consequences of making a rarely built item on anyone but Veigar harder to build was a good idea when champs are just abusing the crap out of item 3135.

Not saying mages are a problem. But when as a mage you are no longer the AoE burst/sustained damage mage, but the utility tank melter I think there's a bit of a design flaw going on with their items.

What are you talking about? This build path is way better. Deathcap is typically like a 4th item. Who has room for 3 components for a 4th item? Or sitting on a lesser component while you sit on 2k+ gold to finish it?

It's only the 4th item because of how stupid efficient they made item 3135. So what big deal if you sat on item 1058 + item 1026 before. You lose out on a total of 20 AP until you finish it. The build path is garbage now because believe it or not 850 vs 1250 is a big difference in cost and quite honestly 20 AP isn't going to make a difference in the late game. And actually most champs don't build death cap because of its garbage build path and because it is literally raw stats.

Also really love the 3 mediocre items post. The new build contains one of the old items. I swear this forums is filled with people who have no clue how to balance the game. I would rather have Death cap be the 2nd or 3rd item rush over item 3135. Therefore the build path being 3 items makes more sense as mages should not be rushing item 3135 as early as they do. It shows just how broken it is.

Riot improves the build path, increases the AP, and reduces the cost and you still whine like a 3 year old about it. Are you one of those people who bitch about everything just to bitch?

The new recipe makes it more efficient to build.

I can get it as 2nd or 3rd item AND feel good after completing it without having to sit on 3 mediocre items for a long time.

The Memes & Games forum is over that way <---

Seriously, the item now builds from two overly cost efficient ones and is itself 102% cost efficient with NO OTHER AP ITEMS. It's build path was made easier, its combine cost was lowered, its total cost was lowered, and it gives an extra 5% AP.

The item was buffed through the roof to the point of not just being actually possible to build, but being a potential RUSH due to its cost efficiency.

The point is it had to be super buffed because you gave it a worse build path. The point still stands that item 3089 was always meant to be built before item 3135 and the fact that mages are still building void staff first tells you how bad it is to rush death cap.

Basically the reason death cap has a worse build path now is that 1250g is 4 kills or about 70 cs. You really shouldn't be hoarding that much gold every back. It's okay for first back because you are on relatively equal terms with your opponent, but on every back after you are probably going to back with less than 1250 unless you stay too long or are way ahead. IDK about your average game but I never see mages other than Veigar build the thing until they have at least 3 other ap items because sure you can get an extra 70 ap from it but that leaves you with 0 utility from your items. AKA you are using wood 5 building tactics and really should learn how to play the game. 70 AP often times is not going to do more than an extra 4 casts of a spell and an extra 20% uptime.

IDK about you but when I sit on 1250g for a item 1058. The enemy mid with item 3802 is sitting there out farming you and bullying you out of lane. 1100 is much easier to obtain and 300 mana + 10% CDR + mana regen + 25 AP vs. 60 AP. IDK about you but basic value is the lost chapter when is cheaper and builds into item 3285 item 3040 which are much better items overall.
