So duskblades current passive is actually really nice. To strong for sure, but really nice!

So can we spread it out and make it the assassin "core"? item 3147 Unique passive: After being unseen for at least one second your next basic attack will deal 35-120 physical damage and slow for 33% for 1 second. item 3142 Unique passive: After being unseen for at least one second your next basic attack will deal 35-120 physical damage and slow for 33% for 1 second. item 3814 Unique passive: After being unseen for at least one second your next basic attack will deal 35-120 physical damage and slow for 33% for 1 second.

Once you get your core, it does the same damage as it does currently, but before you have all three each one increases the damage by 33% until you get all three and its max'd out at 105-360.

But assassins want to win early/midgame. Getting to three items is slow.

And inb4 everyone realizes Zilean had a broken 99% slow for years.

Mid game is two items and the assassin fantasy is late game anyway. By making the current unique passive a "core passive" on all lethality items it gives assassins a better power curve and makes their build paths MUCH more flexible instead of cookie cutter "MUST GET DUSKBLADE FIRST FOR MAD DAMAGE".

Seems halftrue.

More flexible first choice... less flexible choice 2... choice 3.

You... you realize thats what a core is right? item 3031 and then item 3087 /item 3094 into item 3085 /item 3046 Or vice versa. Mages have item 3165 item 3089, tanky builds have item 3065 /item 3742.

Except I think most of those "core" examples you posted aren't used much.

Uhh.... wha? ADCs get IE and one or two crit items past it. http://champion.gg/champion/Draven/ADC (IE/shiv/firecannon) (I seem to be wrong on tanky builds - item 3065 item 3193 seems to be fairly core.) http://champion.gg/champion/Ahri/Middle? (Morellos/rabadon)

Just singular exmaples, but draven and Ahri are flavor of the month still.

To each their own. http://koreanbuilds.net/champion/Ahri/Mid/7.12/-1 Never rush Rabadon, unless you are so far ahead in lane the game is over.

http://koreanbuilds.net/champion/Draven/Bot/7.12/-1 Hardly ever see Shiv/Cannon. Always rush Bloodthirster or now Deaths Dance.

This concept of Core seems outdated.

Assassin fantasy is midgame when everyone is running around uncoordinated. item 3142 item 3147 is enough, although usually people will sub out one of the items for Cleaver for better combat stats when not assassinating. My experience has been best done with Talon: Found a Graves taking scuttlecrab alone, so I E+R'd over the wall, crit Q+auto+W and bam he's nearly dead before he even knows what hit him, and dies from W and bleed. Now just expand that to 'anyone' instead of 'jungler'.

LOL lategame DEFINITELY isn't the "assassin fantasy" b/c by then you're burst does nothing against tanks, and even squishy mages and ADC's have built in durability due to items (theirs and support)item 3046 item 3812 item 3190 item 3401 item 3109.

And also everyone has the damage to burst you down just as fast.

Assassins have a decent earlygame, and if they snowball that then they get their MIDGAME fantasy where they can roam and catch people out before the teams start grouping up for the purple worm and big dragon.

Assassins end up almost exclusively as split pushers late game due to their 1v1 power, escapes in their kits and crappy teamfighting.

If i ask why? Will you just say "because its too strong"?

Because i feel like every class has shit that is "too strong"

Duskblade it a little to strong because on one item it does as much damage AS another ability. I could easily see zed getting a new passive thats basically duskblades current passive.

The idea of it is really nice - and it fits SUPER well with what AD assassins are meant to do. So we spread it out amongst the AD assassins intended core; lethality. Theres three lethality items, so it works out very well.

PSA: Duskblade god a hotfix done to it.

[HOTFIXED TO LIVE] Damage changed from 105-360 scaling on level to 65-360 scaling on level. Ranged attacks now deal 65-320 bonus damage, and do not slow.

The tooltip is to be updated next patch to match the changes.

... The idea is to add it to all three items in addition to what they have now. Not replace. Because duskblade is to strong on its own; one-build items are NOT a good thing. By spreading it out you can have a different power curve and necessitate a core which the champions can then be balanced around.
