Vanguard (offensive tank) Warden (defensive tank) Juggernaut (immobile but powerful fighters) Diver (mobile fighters) Skirmisher (glass melee dps) Assassin Burst Mage Battle Mage (dps mage) Artillery Mage Disruptor (zone control mages) Enchanter (traditional supports) Marksman (which riot hasn't bothered to divide into subclasses)

This is probably the most comprehensive list. I think Marksman would be divided up into Caster, Carry, and Caster-Carry.

Officially?

Its:

**Fighter Tank Mage Support Assassin Marksman **

No fuck official. Riot still can't differentiate between an Assassin and a Burst Mage.

Tank, Juggernaut, Bruiser, Duelist, Assassin, AD Caster, AD Carry/Hyper-Carry, Control Mage, Burst Mage, Utility Mage, Healer, Warden (I presume this is like Thresh/Blitz), Mage Support, and Diana (that odd bag of candy has a class of her own)

Tank, Bruiser, Fighter, Assassin, Burst Mage, DPS Mage, Utility Mage, and Ranged-AD/ADC/whatever you want to label the box of all the weird AA champions.
There are then the sub group of modifiers like AD Caster, Mage-tank, and such that describe a feature of a few champions a bit more specifically. We can just disregard the meaningless and contradictory mess of things like "Vanguard", which is something you sound like you would be fine with.
