Do Surrender Votes Help more than Hurt?

It seems to me that when the surrender votes come in, it's usually because someone is getting salty, decides for themself the game is over and they're done. Usually it's a 3-2 vote or even less. They put the vote up, demoralizing a couple other people who decide to vote yes, annoying the other guys who don't want to. Generally just making things worse.

IN the case of those 4-1 or 5-0 games where your team is just blown the fuck out, either the gmae was going to end naturally anyway soon after 20 minutes, or your enemies can't finish or decide to fuck around and throw, and there's still a chance to win.

League games on average are about 30 minutes and almost never exceed 60 minutes... League games are a commitment. The concepts of early - mid - late game exist for a reason, because the game changes, a bad start can change.

So why do we cater to kids who are afraid of playing League of Legends and give them a 'throw mechanic' with surrender votes? Why are people not willing to fight for their wins, or at least go down with your leg broken off in the enemy's asshole?

Stop being a worthless coward and play the game, or don't queue up at all!
