Adaptive Helm seriously needs to be removed

This item is totally busted against sustained AP damage champions, and essentially removes them from the game.

Imagine if we had an AD item that reduced all physical damage by a flat 20% on top of armor. This item honestly has no reason to exist in the current meta.

That is not what adaptive helm does though. It works only on champs that can spam spells. They SHOULD make one for AD as well tbh Kayn can suck it

I mean, there is an item called Randuin's Omen item 3143 and Thornmail item 3075 that punishes most Auto Attackers who rely on crit.

mostly based on my own personal experience, but im a malz main, and play with a brand main (both with mastery 7), and are playing since the vs even in season 7, and the total number of times we have seen the enemy team build adaptive helm is 1 time (just one Irelia pre rework on my part, no one ever built it against brand)

so im guessing the reason cass is strong is cause not enough people are aware adaptive helm exists or play champions that can viably build it against her to lower her power?

I mean...Not many mids can buy Adaptive. They're not tanks, juggernauts, or PROPER divers, so it's not an item they can really buy.

But yeah. It's not as strong as OP thinks it is.

Adaptive helm is a good item with a specific niche against DPS mages, a group of champs that has been fundamentally broken in the midlane and from s4 all the way to halfway through s8 showed that.

Why do you think it is there in the first place? For sustained damage AP users, like poison or Ryze. And it is hard to imagine such armor items given the prevalence of unneeded true damage.
