Man those recommended champions in the year in review
Literally your list consisted of 3 champions that I actually can't stand playing. So, i'm not sure what algorithm or tags you used to determine that list riot, but damn does it seem very... miss

1st of all, why are they even recommending Adcs? I rarely played Adc. I mostly play Support, Top & Mid once in a blue moon. Secondly, none of the champs recommend play like the champs I played.

Ezreal and Varus because I played Jhin and Kai'Sa. Kha'Zix because I played Jhin and Kindred. What.

Mine actually made sense but I still hate the champions.

Except I hate playing those champions, and I really hate any and all supports except for Sona. And with the DH changes I hated the game so much I no longer play it, not only because it’s obnoxious on everyone, but it went from being fantastic on Sona to complete trash on her.
I played full AP “support” because at least then I could participate in S8’s burst or be bursted clown fiesta. With terrifying efficiency after 2 items (

Here’s what I got:
Thresh because of Vel’Koz and Nautilus
Urgot because of Vel’Koz and Xin Zhao
Jhin because of Vel’Koz and Kha’Zix
I also checked again today and Urgot and Jhin were replaced by Blitzcrank and Pyke for the same reason I got Thresh. I barely played any Nautilus or Kha’Zix this year, and there was no mention of Yorick, who I only played 25 games of this year, but was still my third-most-played champion (Xin being second and Vel being first).
"Because you played Pyke, we recommend sion" huh, neat those two are similar right, both died, came back to life, have a weapon, seems close enough right?
I got tristana because she is similar to ahri and ezreal...
It recommended me Aatrox because somehow he has the same playstyle as Pyke I believe... And it switched to Lissandra now because Vel'Koz and Kai'Sa.
They recommended me champions I can't stand... But the worst thing is that they recommended me the champion I hate the most. Not to playing against, I just hate the character/lore/voices etc [slayer-jinx-unamused]
Kayn because Warwick and Master Yi...eeh I can KINDA see it. Udyr because Yi and Jax, that makes more sense. Kha'Zix because Yi and Jax.
Overall more sense than most of yours.
I recomended I play Urgot since I played a bit of SIon and Aatrox and I kinda wanted to try Urgot anyway...
Finding him really hard to play though.
Don't be harsh mate. There was underpaid internee that was working whole 20 minutes on this algorithm.
They suggested 3 ADCs when all I play is tanky supports, tanks, and bruisers****
A lot of people seem to think it's based on similarities, but it's probably just a ton of data. If 78% of Silver III Janna mains in EUW also play Zed, and you're a Silver III Janna main in EUW that has 2 ARAM Zed games in your lifetime, Zed is probably a pretty good recommendation.

One of my recommendations was lux, which is fine. The other is evelynn, which I hate.
Since I play Taric/Rakan it recommended me thresh, which I can see. The other two were eh, but not terrible.
I play mages and enchanters. I got recommended veigar (ok), thresh and pyke (????)

irelia cuase i played vayne and yasou? irelias m5 ok (havent played irelia since pre rework.)
Mine also recommended lee sin. Not sure why. I actually can't see mine at this time, its using my old summoner name and telling me theres not enough data, and to play more next year.
EDIT: I guess it doesn't like leaving the client on overnight, i restarted and its back.
