Lux is highly underrated

If it's anything I learned from Jayce, Rammus, Twitch, Janna, etc. it's that once a champion becomes FotM, then players rediscover that champion and realize that he/she is a lot stronger than they were thought to be. Lissandra is definitely one of them, but I think Lux is also on the "highly underrated" radar.

First, I'll admit that she has zero mobility, which is true, but I think that's probably the only drawback that she has. Once you take MS quints, alacrity boots, and lich bane, then she'll have enough movement speed to minimize being caught out. On top of that, is she really the easiest champion to gank? Most AP mid-laners have no escapes, and in addition to that they have no shield, or a 2 second CC. She's definitely easier to gank than somebody like Fizz, but it's not like every gank against a Lux is a very successful one.

To me, I think Lux has the best poke in the game. Ziggs and Xerath has a lower CD poke, and Jayce and Nidalee has a much more damaging poke, but the problem is that they miss easily. To me, Lux's poke is a lot more reliable. The AoE is huge, and the travel time is very short. Over time, Lux can output more poke damage than Ziggs, Xerath, Nidalee, or Jayce because hers is a lot more easier to land.

Other than that, she has good burst, not the best, but enough to keep enemies on their toes. She doesn't fall off late game (she's just as relevant), and that AoE shield is simply amazing against a poke-heavy comp. As an AP midlaner she actually has really good survivability because of the shield.

And last but not least, the laser. 50 second cooldown at max rank (30 second cooldown with 40% CDR). It's not quite semi-ult, but Ziggs has a 120 second CD, Xerath has a 100 second CD, and gangplank has a 95 second CD. If you ask me, I'd rather have a semi-global range with worse damage and range, but more availability.

My advice for those trying her for the first time is to use lots of cooldown runes and/or rush 40% CDR ASAP. She's far FAR better than maxed CDR.
