I can't really think of any positive things tiamat does aside from help champs you really don't want splitpushing splitpush
Also in relation to all the whining about fiora, I notice that she is an exceptional cs'er with tiamat though it just may be because she has a great farming kit.
What would happen to this game if tiamat and anything it built into was removed

Most people will buy this item as part of building into larger items... like Titanic Hydra 
(I think Tiamat builds into that one)
Tiamat's still a pretty basic item and easy to build into. It's not really overpowered, it's rather common to have and we've all seen it on someone before. It's basically removing something that is spiritually aesthetic, like Graves' cigar. It's also like removing something that's physically useful, like Graves' cigar.

All three are used for enhanced farming and lane shoving for after lane phase especially on champs who could be doing it better... but it seems like alot of the champs that build these things would be alot healthier without it and still be pretty strong though they'd need a new way to heal like crazy off minions and monsters

if the item is removed, you would enjoy watching people counting minion example : "Omg I missed that one minion" or : " wow I should have q, or e that minion " etc...
plus it will also reduce the option of buying items; it will gets bore if everyone is doing the same thing or build.

honestly most of the problem I see is the fact that it makes perfect cs for skilled players to be so easy that they can actually avoid alot of interaction with the other player knowing they can cs perfectly under the tower no matter what SMART and normal thing the other one does. But also then it helps splitpush later after helping them earn extra gold more easily which allows them to fit a different role than they might have otherwise or at least they fill that one alot easier than they would have.
