Can we stop suggesting making nasus better in teamfights?

I don't know about anyone else, but as a person who has played a ton of nasus (M7 on main account) and used to main him, I was attracted to him by this idea of a melee bruiser who can sacrifice his early for a god-level late game dueling and split pushing monstrosity.

I agree that wither needs some serious work so that nasus's total power budget can be increased without making him disgustingly oppressive, but suggesting that nasus get more teamfight and a worse 1v1 would make me completely lose interest in nasus, and this probably holds true for many nasus mains. We like being the island champion who does his own thing, not everything has to be super good in a teamfight.

Nasus ought to stay a juggernaut duelist should riot rework him.

i don't think his dueling needs to be worse considering his absolute garbage teamfighting power tbh but other juggs are fantastic duelists and much better in team fights

All I really want is some conditional power for more rewarding spells since that's the direction league is headed. if that makes his team fight better so be it

and to be an actual late game champion like he was so many years ago

"other juggs are fantastic duelists"

But even in his currently sad state, nasus can pretty much outduel every other juggernaut post 500-600 stacks (of course getting their would be a slight issue, but still).

Also the reason he was a late scale was because wither used to 100% convert MS to cripple.

nah trundle got his number

Not really. Wither is much more powerful than cone as both an engage and disengage. The chomp AD reduce doesn't mean anything to nasus either. The ultimate kinda sucks for nasus but he should be able to survive past it and beat trundle's ass after it's gone.

Plan B is always level 5 wither and walk away to stack and fight later.

You literally just walk away with wither after he ults and waits for it to expire. After that trundle is done for. That being said if you fail to notice he ulted you are in trouble.

Well his q is his most iconic feature and most defines him, so I doubt Riot would completely change/remove it. There's plenty of other infinitely stacking abilities out there. Sion, bard, thresh. Perhaps they would make his q stack faster early and give fewer stacks later into the game - like 4 stacks instead of 3 early, but only 1 stack late game. If they ditch any abilities, I'd start with e first. Although they might unfortunately leave it so ap nasus mains don't have a riot.

The issue with nasus is without stacks he doesn't have too much going for him. Veigar can stack at range and can just hit enemies to get stacks, plus he's ranged so he can build damage on top of stacks. Sion gets more hp so he can still buy damage and also has better team CC than a single wither. Nasus is almost linear in his play pattern which is a problem and he really doesn't push quickly. His teamfight is only good if he's already ahead and falls apart after a certain point. I just think his entire kit is too linear. Use wither, tank up and get stacks. All the other infinite stack champs have enough play diversity to be useful all game.

Make nasus q like veigars q where hitting champ can stack it, swap AS or MS debuff on wither with the debuff from e and increase duration of e but same damage

What if they nerf W but give ghost him while he walks on his E?

I've been a Nasus main since s2 with well over 2k games on him, with many of those games coming in high plat to mid diamond. I would gladly sacrifice his split pusher and dueling power for teamfigjt potential. Most OG Nasus players would because that was his fantasy as a champion back in the day: a late game hyper carry. That's what attracted us to him and we stuck with him because we still enjoy the champion and want to him work in that way. Most of us hate the sirchez garbage playstyle of afk stacking and splitting. I can't speak for newer Nasus players though.

Old Nasus scaled because wither was a monster back then, there was nothing different with basis in terms of kit. He was still a better dueler as opposed to teamfighter

Of course he was but the game has also changed significantly and effectively has taken away his ability to carry outside of chresey split pushing.

Could not agree more. I started in season 2 and have played Nasus as my main ever since. Sirchez is a garbage Nasus player and I really can't stand watching his troll builds with split push only style. I miss the old Nasus late game hyper carry monster. I personally build Nasus to team fight. IBG, SV, T2 Boots, Titanic Hydra, Thornamail and then another defensive item. You get a ton of wave clear and plenty of power in team fights with enough beef to survive.

Why not just shift his abilities to adjust his damage, mobility and stacking mechanics to be more proactive ?

Passive: Soul Eater: If Siphoning Strike kills its target, Nasus permanently gains 1 stacks, and 3 if the victim is a champion.

Siphoning Strike (Q): Nasus gains 3 / 6 / 9% bonus life steal for 4 seconds, decaying 1 stack per second.

Wither (W): Active: Nasus slows a champion by .5% for each stack gained by Soul Eater and gains half of that amount as bonus move speed for 5 seconds.

i don't care if they buff his team fight. just wan't more counterplay for 1v1 him other than "f*ck him hard before he's too tanky "

I've been a Nasus enthusiast since early S4(soon after his rework). The reason for picking him up, was to have unbeatable late game dueling and splitting power. If i wanted teamfighters, there were always plenty meta ones that did an excellent job at that.

Since damage/armpen on champions, masteries and items has now been made to massively outscale resistances from those same sources, Nasus has completely lost his dueling raidboss status. He cannot outscale anyone anymore. I remember a time when you could outscale and beat a full build Yi, just because his items were many times more cost-effective and powerfull than yours. I remember a time, when you didn't need 800+ stacks to beat that Fiora or Yasuo when they were splitting cockily in a sidelane.

Nasus was never a good teamfighter(well except before those wither changes) and i think he should never become one, as teams should be rewarded for their coordination towards taking advantage of his weaknesses . Him having his lategame scaling fantasy returned to him and receiving great teamfighting, would turn him to a new Fiora. I instead want my Dawg to be able to split after a certain point in the game without fear of a 1v1 or 1v2, as a result for sacrificing a lot of early map pressence(a cost which a lot of the best scaling champs right now dont even have to pay). I want him to split with the same confidence or even more, a near full build Fiora or Yasuo does.

Nasus mains just want the 1v5 days back.

He needs a complete rework or stay exactly where he is at.
