i mean on one side its worse if you want to go 21/9/0. enchanted armor is out of reach now. slow resistance is circumstantial.

on the other side, if you go 9/21/0. WOW. that synergy between adaptive armor, the 10% enchanted armor, courage and legendary guardian. get free mr for building armor, which gets you more armor/mr and some more armor/mr and then some more for each enemy champion nearby.

the amount of free resistances.

I still like to go 21/9 on offensive champions such as bruisers. Yes this synergy is very good, but by not using 21 points on offense, you are taking out a lot of damage potential from your champion.

well, i used to go 21/9 on garen. but i think after the change, 9/21 might actualy be better. all the free resistances and % bonuses go pretty well with him.

feels like it allows him to build even more offensive, since he gets more out of his 2 or 3 defensive items.

The old Enchanted Armor was beyond garbage...

i picked it on garen. feel like it was worth on him.

only thing id like to know is, does it stack additive with courage (+ 30% bonus resitances meaning 30 bonus armor from a thornmail), or multiplicative ( 1,2 x 1,1 = 1,32 meaning 32 bonus armor from a thornmail) ?

I think they stacked multiplicatively, iIrc.

And to the garbage guy:

On people who'd get a lot of resistances sooner or later, it still was an ok investment. Nothing too groundbreaking, true, but ok enough to make you think about whether it would be good for your champion in the long run.

i actually tested it yesterday. and it doesnt just stack multiplicative, but also recursive. meaning if you buy a thornmail, it gives you:

  • 100 armor to which courage gives you 20% = 20
  • to which enchanted armor gives you another 10% on both = 10 + 2 = 12
  • to which courage gives you another 20% on those 12 ~ 2

for a sum of 134 armor from a thornmail. (+7 mr from adaptive armor)

thats actually pretty awesome. so i guess im running with this now, lol.

I feel like Irelia can go 9/21 now and be much more tanky/cc-resistant without losing much damage.
