It would be really cool if at any point in this season, playing consistently well made you win games

Instead of 95% of games being won or lost because someone has died 10+ times early and is essentially making the game a 4v5.

This is not fun, and it's making it impossible to climb when you're completely at the mercy of the worst player. The 'anti-snowball' mechanics, which really only made games snowball harder, need to be reverted.

if 95% of games are lost to someone dying 10 times early and its not you then statistically its more often one of the enemy team, and therefore you should win more than you lose and therefore climb.

If you arent, youre the problem.

Cool, just let me spam a couple hundred games while I wait for statistics to even out.

That's not how ranked should work.

so youre saying you specifically are unlucky and are getting all the feeders on your team.

and Riot can fix your luck how?

The issue isn't luck, the issue is that a single person who is playing badly sabotages the entire game and makes the contributions and effort the rest of their team put into the game irrelevant.

Riot should fix the game so that one person feeding doesn't irrevocably lose the game for their entire team. If one player cannot carry games 'because it's a team game,' the reverse should also be true. The player who is feeding snowballs the enemy team too hard.

the reverse IS true. By definition.

That said one good player can carry a bad team, even with a feeder.

One good player cannot carry a bad team unless the entire enemy team is playing like dumb monkeys, which is possibly why you think this.

Solo carrying with an advantage when everyone is at least moderately skilled hasn't been a thing since season 5/6, when damage blew up and the game devolved into who can 100 to 0 the other faster.

oh really?

so is 1/12 thresh feeding enough or should i find a worse game?

and btw, solo carrying has gotten easier since damage blew up, since now you can just eliminate enemies you catch without taking any damage in return

This is a crucial part of my post. You're playing against an entire team of dumb monkeys.

In higher MMR games, it turns into a 5v5 at 15 minutes as the team with the advantage pushes to win. There's rarely any opportunity to 'catch' anyone, just a rolling ball of death.

except theyre not. but funny how you can use that excuse for any video i show. "they lost while ahead so they must be bad"

what do you define as "higher MMR"? youre plat so youre only one division above where im playing. and what youre describing is extremely simple low tier strategy. A "rolling ball of death" is easily stopped by turtling at a tower and can usually be held by as few as 3 people, leaving 2 open to split push or flank for a good engage.

turtling at a tower means "you lose" condition in this game the moment you do this they can just 2 baron. its a auto loss at this point.

maybe in a perfect game the "Picks" scenario happen but in reality thats pretty much how it works. you turtle you lose because defense is useless only way to get results is to all in brute force the back line "all ghost/flash" the backline as fast as you can adding in as many buffs as possible. thats the only way to win hard offense vs offense fire vs fire. passive play is more punished. now if that dont work its only because the ADC has magic hidden stats that make them tanky which means the game destined a loss.

gee, with this mentality combined with the "adcs have secret resistances" theory, its a wonder you have so much "bad luck"

xDogMeatx1 votes

even though its true the adc somehow magically survives assassins barely scratching half hp on them??? tanky as hell. then they can heal that back up. because of these magical hidden stats that forces a loss. lifesteal is one thing but hidden armors is another.

the only true counterplay is too hard rush the adc as angry as possible and if you just kill the adc you already won that match (in my mind) to show you can dethrone a adc off their high horse to prove gods can bleed. heck only killing a adc feels like a accomplishment of killing a final boss of a game.

xDogMeatx1 votes

i have the same feeling where when a enemy team is fed i feel the adc is magically tanky than supposed to be you feel that they are wearing (hidden) armor/magic resist stats even though you see a bloodthirster i bet they have hidden resists the game doesnt display. those type of matches are rigged to lose. not to mention that the whole team plays keep the assassin away from the carry as insult to injury because i feel they dont need that luxury due to this hidden tankness.

Also if you are a good player Riot will put bad players on YOUR team because it wants to make an "Even" Match

Instead of letting the bad player just fall to the bottom.

REALLY? Wow I had no clue.....

ELO ranked system was not designed for a system like Riot has.

ELO only works IF

  1. Teams do not change for the whole season
  2. Players all play to win
  3. There are no Smurfs

That is the ONLY way ELO works and why it works for LC$ but not for SoloQ and will NEVER work for SoloQ

ELO Rating System

  1. Makes no sense. Individual skill rating has nothing to do with having a consistent team.
  2. As I pointed out in the first comment in this thread causes your MMR to be artificially inflated due to a higher chance the enemy has a troll than you do assuming you are not the troll yourself. If the team with the troll always loses you win more games due to troll than you lose due to them.
  3. Has the opposite effect of 2, and would therefore cancel each other out assuming smurfs and trolls happen at equal frequency. However I believe getting a troll in your game is more likely than a smurf.

its actually 44% chance for his allies and 55% chance for his enemies assuming that the OP is never the feeder (since its out of 9 potential feeders rather than 10)

This is not true. Youre jist doing something wrong. Im not saying climbing is easy but if you rly apply everything you have in your every single game, 1 feeder doesnt matter. People dont realize that ,,playing good” is not only not feeding and getting kills in laning phase and good CS. Sure you wont win every game, but when you get better in every aspect of the game, you will slowly start winning more. There will always be some feeder, its normal. You need to focus on your performance, not your teams. 👌

There is no ELO hell. I'm climbing with Garen mid, of all things. It got me to mid Silver before I quit for school last season, it will get me further than that this season. Play well, beat your lane opponent, and transfer your lead to another lane. If you lose lane, pray for a carry. Support the win condition. You don't have to be the hero every game.

Removing all of the gold they dumped on the winning team in the pre-season would be a good starting point.

Losing a lane early now generates 800+ gold in plating, and lanes that are ahead can't easily help the losing lane without giving up 300+ gold in their own plating, so it's just a lose-lose situation.

And then the champion who's severely behind farms to try to catch up, and suddenly they have a 500g bounty while still being insanely behind. It's all just free gold for the team that's ahead; not only is the person playing badly essentially useless to the rest of the team, they're also actively generating income for them. You actually have more chance of winning if the player just leaves the game.

The problem isn't bad players. Bad players are going to happen, and have always happened, but they didn't completely and utterly fuck over their entire team as much as they do in this season. It's that bad players provide too much of an advantage for the other team that's the problem.

except I dont exclusively play against silver players. In fact, before I went on a recent losing streak (which was entirely my fault), I was mostly playing against Plat players like yourself.

As usual though another person whose run out of things to say after being countered too much and has to resort to "youre so wrong im not going to explain why". Go ahead and name one thing ive contradicted myself on. One.

Sorry you dont know how to carry.

So when you're fed, you can instantly kill the enemy without giving them an opportunity to return damage, but when the enemy is fed, they magically can't do the same thing to you because you're sitting at a turret?

9/10 times you're turtling while behind, you've already lost the game. An enemy team with a 10+ kill advantage can trivially dive and kill you, especially if you're only defending 3v5.

Seriously, stop posting.

Yes absolutely. Because the whole point was you can kill opponents without taking damage in return. Which you cant do while tower diving. Youre also not playing smart if youre trying to get a pick on 3 people under their tower. Youll notice I said "you catch" not "under their tower turtling". If youre fed and also bad you cant carry anyone. Which is why you cant. But if youre good you can carry plenty of people often even if you arent fed. Which is why I can. There is no contradiction here. Try again.

Didn't you just say earlier that you fell from Plat to Silver? Yenn has consistently been Plat/Diamond and is currently Plat. How does that make him bad and you good?

No, my MMR fell from high gold which plays with plats to low gold which plays with silvers. Yenns MMR is low plat, which plays with golds. I have always been and still am gold. What makes him bad and me good is unlike him I dont believe that games are won entirely on luck, and instead use good strategy to win my games. I can also win games where I or my team are behind, which apparently from what hes saying he cant, being the premise of this thread.
