I Dodged Your Ultimate but I'll Still Die

I had a game with Ekko and Yasuo

I was Ziggs

Questions I have for balance reasons after playing yet again against them.

  1. Why is Ekko allowed to have his Q contnue being casted when he dies? Xerath Velkoz Bard Malzahar and I'm sure more champions do not get their spells to continue casting when they die. Xerath can't have Q or W. Vel can't have E. Bard can't R. Malz can't Q. I know you're a fan of affirmative action Riot but I'd like to remind you that it isn't balanced or justified considered how overloaded Ekko is. I got first blood on Ekko, his Q kills me after he's dead.

  2. Why bother dodging a Yasuo ultimate when he'll just flash + w + AA twice to kill me? I magnificently used my W to avoid his ultimate but instead of being rewarded for my outplay Yasuo gets to kill me anyway and since I don't have an undo button there's nothing I can do against him. He doesn't care about my slow because he has movement boosting items and I already outplayed him using W which for some reason has the same cooldown as Yasuo windwall.

Yes, an ability that can block every single "projectile" known to man has the same cooldown as an ability that can 210 +35% AP with a knockback. Oh, I guess I can use it to get over some walls too.

Wait, Ekko has an ability that lets him go through walls without setting up anything, dashes to an enemy, applies his passive, and does damage. The cooldown? 7 seconds.

Ekko's passive will do: 190 + 80% AP by end game

Ekko's E will in addition do: 170 + 20% AP by end game

Total: (360 base damage. + (420 AP based off of http://www.probuilds.net/guide/KR/2079767747/39010129 ) 336 + 84 = 780 every 7 seconds base cooldown. With 40% CDR -> 4.2 seconds

Zigg's W: 210 base damage. + (500 ap) 175 = 380 every 14 seconds base cooldown. 40% CDR -> 8.4 seconds

"But it's AOE" I hear you cry! Yea? So is Ekko's ultimate. Ziggs ult 72% ap. Ekko ult 130% ap with healing. Ekko also has a higher base damage than Ziggs and doesn't have to aim or calculate wait time and is invulnerable during casting.

Nah, not overloaded at all.

Riot, you can reward champions for hitting abilities.

Pst, you can also punish champions for missing abilities. Or dying.

But continue giving champions undo buttons. That sure is healthy I tell you. Be sure to give them better AP ratios and base damage too. And lower cooldowns how could I forget! Urgot

  1. Actually, most of these guys can if the projectile gets out.

Ekko does it more frequently than the others because his wind up animation is small and the projectile itself lasts a long time, but regardless of that, almost every projectile based ability will continue to fire after death unless very specifically designed by Riot not to.

  1. An Assassin killing a mage is how the game goes.

That and he burned a summoner for a kill for what sounded like you already being at low health. Sounds about right to me.

  1. You can see Ekko's ghost and where it will be.

Ekko's Q is more Sivir-like or Ahri-like, and both of those will return even after death, so eh, consistency.

hmm... you seem to be confusing "outplaying with dodging... or even getting lucky,... seems to me like that yasuo out played you... because he's left standing... ionno though... just going based off your little story
