Why is champion re rolling removed?

Really don't see what was wrong with it to begin with.

Folks like myself who had all content unlocked abused it to instantly get champions on release with 0 rng. So it needed to be handicapped or removed to prevent this. It was better for players who had more content, less low IP champions you could get the higher the value of each reroll for subpar or repeated shards was. It rewarded older accounts and players with more champs unlocked way more then it helped folks still trying to get their champion pool filled up.

Edit, let me follow up on this experience for low champion accounts a bit more. Rerolling high IP shards because your lacking essence and wanted a new champion felt pretty terrible when you got a low IP champion you did not want, you lost 3 options. Demolishing them for BE felt bad because you probably ultimately wanted all of those champions but had less reliable options to disenchant so you never really got to upgrade to permanents and had to make a call on what you sacrificed to generate BE.

The real reason is that if you have all champs like some of us.....why buy the new champ with 7800ip or spend any rp on it. 3 mystery shards for 1700ip and bam...new champ for 5100 ip after re-rolling and getting the only possible outcome. It's really all about the RP purchases suffering tbh.

Because they want people to spend more money.

Players who own all the champs getting new champs for 1-2k IP less isn't a good reason to remove something that was available to every single player.

Level ups give potentially a whole bunch of champ shards from the level up capsule, depending on the value of the particular shards you get (capsule value is always one of a few numbers, so for a fixed value you might get one valuable shard or multiple cheap ones totaling the same value), so if you were 'lucky' and got a bunch of low value shards, you might very well be able to reroll two 6300 champ permanents from a single level up, which would be somewhat crazy compared to the 'normal' rate which would be ~4-6 level ups worth of shard disenchants depending on if you had the shard for the champ you wanted.

Champ acquisition rate is mathematically up in the current system as is, so keeping champ rerolling would be a huge buff to champ earn rates which wasn't the goal.

Removing + the slower BE rate = Riot gets to make more money. Players = cash-cows to be milked.

I know I'm speaking crazy-talk here but maybe, just maybe, Riot should do their champion value reduction a little more often and for more champions. Y'know, since they are literally NEVER going to release a champion that doesn't have a regular price of 6300 and an ungodly amount of the champs on the roster are at said 6300 price point.

"Why is champion re rolling removed?"

Because the capability to get an entire new champion with just one level is simply unreasonable. The rate of champion acquisition already looks to have gone up for me with this, (which I will double checking over time) but to raise it to that extent?

so you disenchant 15 championshards to get a good champion instead of potentially 3.
