Ashe Q changes completely worthless

Recent change to Ashe's Q in a nutshell: -Volley and Enchanted Arrow no longer applies stacks of Ranger's Focus

  • Can ONLY activate Ranger's Focus at 5 stacks
  • Removed CD

As "useful" as it is having no cooldown, it is borderline worthless in lane, and only slightly more effective out of lane.

Assume you have 1.00 attack speed in lane (generosity at it's finest) it will take you a minimum of 5 seconds to get any use out of this manadump. Since most trades don't last 5 seconds, and most all in's will be over (or close to over) before you can reach the necessary stacks. They only last four seconds so assuming you aren't autopushing your lane it is difficult to keep up your stacks, especially between waves.

Given that Ashe already has a spell with no combat value ( Her E ), these recent nerfs to her Q give her only 1 non ultimate spell to fight with. Her base AD and her AS aren't anything noteworthy so I can't understand why she got nerfed.

Let's look at lategame teamfights then.

Her AD is one of the lowest (understandable since she gets damage from crit) and you still need at least 5 auto attacks to activate one of your two non ultimate combat skills.

Currently it seems like Ashe playstle is "Spam Volley to poke them down, ult someone out of position, realize you ran out of mana and become worthless"

Constantly autoattacking in lane should give you the opportunity to use her Q fairly reliably, provided you don't push too hard or leave the wave for too long, and later on you should have plenty of tools (e.g. attack speed, your CC, allies) to charge up your passive as you fight. The current 5-stack requirement might be a bit too high, but it's being reduced to 4 on the PBE, so hopefully that shouldn't be as much of a problem soon.

You're supposed to have it stacked before the trade starts.

You're supposed to have it stacked before the trade starts.

So you just wait for her stacks to fall off then laugh as you start a trade.

It takes two to tango. You can force trades, you know.

Very difficult when Ashe's AA range and MS are abysmal. I played her mid against a MELEE opponent and could never use Q in lane because they either ran too fast or the stacks just fell off. Why can Tahm have a more impact full stacking mechanic that also lasts twice as long AND only takes 3 hits (which is really 2 since Q applies them).

Nope, wasn't funny. 2/8 pls try again next time.

Ashe has among the highest base range in the game. 600 units is just 50 units shorter than cait and 50+ units further than most other ADCs.

The biggest thing I dislike with it is that Hurricane bolts no longer grant stacks - it's on-attack instead of on-hit like it used to be.

are you kidding? she is real strong its changed to 4 stacks now it is still super strong no cd means she can use it many times although may require a protect the carry comp-esque team

They're slowly buffing ashe like kassadin until she's back to normal don't worry. Riot confirmed it.
