Doesn't buying Poacher's Knife give your opponent too much information?

By buying this item you're straight up telling the other jungler "hey I'm going to be invading your jungle, so ward up" And it's not only saying that you want to counterjungle, it's saying that you HAVE to in order to get a return on your investment. You can't just switch back to farming your own jungle without effectively wasting money.

This kind of applies to all the new machete upgrades but especially Poacher's because you want to keep your opponent in the dark when counterjungling.

Maybe the machete upgrades shouldn't be visible to the enemy?

Good point, maybe it will be taken when your champ already give you away. Or people will take the duelist/farmer upgrade and still go counter jungling. Don't the farmer upgrade also helps with objective controll?

It is the only one with really negative consequences if your strategy doesn't work out. I'd vote for a change to give a MS Buff upon smiting any large monster and nerf the cd reduction on it. Then you would have two farming items and two fighting. One farming enemy helps low sustain champs and those with no AoE, the other helps those that can clear the farms quickly already.
