PSA: blue buff is not yours, mid laner.

The Deckowner··11 votes·2,229 views

It is not the jungler's problem that you are spamming abilities 24/7 with no mana usage in mind and runs out of mana. Giving you the blue buff or not is completely up to the jungler, if the jungler decides to give it to you, it is call kindliness, otherwise, there is nothing wrong with not giving you the blue buff, especially the first one.

If you're a Lee and I'm a Ziggs, you're a troll for taking Blue and sabotaging me as well as yourself. Sorry, that's just the way it is. Blue gives mana regen and bonus AP. You're wasting the team's resources taking it on Lee even if I died mid. Unless they have a 0 counterplay assassin, there's no reason to assume I'll die instantly when given Blue. Also, junglers don't own Blue anymore than I own mid CS. It's a team resource. Stop pretending the jungle is yours.

Likewise, junglers who ping Blue just as a massive wave is coming to my turret are maybe the biggest trolls of all. They're making me choose between losing lane horribly and being underfarmed or having a key buff. You can do the Wolves or Gromp and wait for me to waveclear before pinging Blue.

You are putting out extreme cases, majority of junglers still use mana, not everyone is fucking lee sin rengar.

Leo10242 votes

You're right but I don't know a single jungler that won't take the item that gives you 180% mana regen while in the jungle

The Deckowner1 votes

You know there is this stategy where the jungler rushes some dmg component before completing the jungle item which highly increases their efficiency and creates more early game pressure simply because they got more combat stats.

Jungler's like Amumu gets barely anything from upgrading the jg item because the gold and exp bonus does not change and the life steal is useless on them, while item 3113 item 3751 helps clearing a lot more while also giving some combat stat.

There is the problem, you picked ziggs.

You 0/5 by 5 mins? You crying for blue buff? Bitch please, you ain't feeding my shit to your opponent so they can abuse you harder. You 5/0 by 5mins? Aye buddy, take it whenever ya want. Need a gank after? Yeah boi.

Malix Farwin3 votes

PSA, it is not yours either.

Beldair2 votes

It's in the jungle right? So there in, it is the Jungler. All buffs/creeps in jungle are the property of the Jungler. That is from Attorney Fiora. I have the document she signed proclaiming that.

The Deckowner1 votes

But I don't have the responsibility to leash you blue on demand, if you want the god damn buff, take it yourself.

You do, it's called intelligent pathing. I'm a JG main and I path in a way that coincides with waveclear by the time I offer Blue.

The Deckowner1 votes

Maybe I got more important things to do other than leashing my stupid mid laner blue buff, such as banking other lanes and getting objectives.

If you don't have other camps near Blue up, it probably means you pathed wrong anyway.

How does me having camp up near blue contradict me taking dragon?

Sejuani Before you say a word, mid, shut it. I am SICK of you self-entitled babies crying for blue every time it spawns! What about me? What about my clear? I deal with this every single game! You know what? I'm not ganking you. No buts! You want to live through laning? Manage your mana responsibly or buy a tear!

Zed What... I don't even...

Yes, your manaless Rengar needs blue. I'm so fkin sorry for stopping you from getting a 1 second shorter cooldown on an ability.

Beldair2 votes

Not every jungler is manaless... Shaco, Nid, and Elise could use blue buff more than mid if needed.

Darkslayer852 votes

My post implies that I'm only targetting manless junglers.

I get that your Nidalee, Elise, and Shaco need blue.

dont forget the cdr rengar could use for more ganks blue provides

In league, so many issues are caused by people not diversifying, as an an ADC, I learned that when I supp, it is up to me to set up plays no matter who I play; supp, as an ADC, I must be ready to follow up on anything without a ping in advance; as a top, it is always a good idea to get in at least one gank up top as a jg; as a jg, I must constantly check not only for available kills, but ways to free up pressure for my team. What you just mentioned is probably the primary for mids, I only needed to play jg once to realize that jg needs blue just as much as I do if not more, and it is easier for me to build a tear of the goddess than it is for the jg.

If im playingAhri Anivia Brand Cassiopeia Fiddlesticks Karthus Malzahar Velkoz I am going to need at least one blue buff to not die especially if my laner uses no mana for example Zed Katarina Yasuo i get it that if you pick a jungler that uses mana like JarvanIV yes the blue buff is all yours by all means giving me one or 2 is fine idc. However if your Rengar LeeSin and just take every blue buff when the mid laner can use it to its fullest thats just being stupid

Or just go take it yourself

Beldair1 votes

As one that has learned every role, I have to agree. Just cause you are mid or adc, doesn't mean blue/red buff is for you. Jungler can use those buffs as well.

Let's use Nidalee, she could really benefit from both buffs to super charge her Q and still keep enough mana for all her abilities.

WhaiiSoSerious1 votes

That reminds me.

The moment when you tell ADC's to not take your blue buff and they do anyways.

Sigh...

Its my blue buff when I take it because the jg hasn't taken it for himself in 5+ mins.

The Deckowner1 votes

if you are a independent being who has the brain to take the left out blue buff then you deserve it.

Zelorxon1 votes

PSA: if your jungler gives you blue buff after 7 is not because he's a nice guy and he wants to make your life easier, before 7 you use blue buff to poke and outtrade the enemy, after lv7 YOU USE IT TO PUSH THE WAVE, can't get the turret? keep pushing the wave and eventually the minions will take it or you'll deal a good chunk of damage so when your team comes to take it they'll have the life easier and they won't be aced because the enemy team managed to defend. If you're dead 2 or more times just forget your blue buff unless i absolutely trust you/i know you're gonna outscale like a madman/you're gonna do some crazy shit that will reward me giving it to you, otherwise, just keep waveclearing PSA 2.0: 2 DORANS RING REFUND THE AMOUNT OF MANA OF A WAVECLEAR ON MOST CHAMPIONS and just sit down and try to not be a burden for who's carrying you.

-Yours truly, your jungler.

Shuyin1781 votes

Honestly the only times you shouldn't give the blue is if :

  1. You are on a mana heavy jungler, so to help other lanes you keep blue to stay proactive.
  2. If you have a mana-less mid laner (standard mid-lane Energy champions like Zed recover a lot faster than top lane ones like Shen, you're fine without it).
  3. if your mid is either feeding/not able to be impactful or being camped hard (where there is a high chance of dying at some point giving the buff to the enemy team).

Yes it is the jungler's choice if/when to give the blue buff, but to help their tilt/salt levels it doesn't hurt to hand it over unless one or more of the above things is going on.

10Tickler2 votes

4: You're behind in Farm because you've Ganked more frequently, and gotten your midlaner HUGE.

5: You're behind in farm because your laners are constantly spamming pings after a successful gank, indicating that they don't feel like sharing themselves.

6: The Extra CDR/AP will help you gank more frequently and with more success.

WhaiiSoSerious1 votes

Yeah mid! Blue is not yours!

Especially now lol since we are so limited to jungle at early stages. No longer can jg lvl 1 golems/birds.

with that been said. There wont be blue for mid till they remake the jg hahaha!

Unstoppable Monk1 votes

Sometimes I wish there was a item active that turns your thief midlaner hostile so you can kill him and take his blue.

jaymc11301 votes

A jungler who takes blue buffs after the second one (and in most cases even the second one) when his mid laner is anything other than a Yasuo or Katarina is a bad jungler who deserves to lose for having really poor fundamental game play. No jungler needs it, every mid laner needs it. If you want your mid laner to be effective, to be able to waveclear and push to roam and open up territory for you to gain vision control over to set up a play, then you want them to have the buff that makes them more effective at doing this.

Giving the buffs to your laners isn't a matter of pride, or income, or experience or "right" to the buff, its a matter of wanting to win the game or NOT wanting to win the game and choosing to remain a selfish player who costs himself and his teams games.

The Deckowner1 votes

Hecarim Amumu Sejuani literally need blue to clear camps.

as Velkoz mid player I have no problem shoving lanes without blue buff when it is already second blue spawning time.

Baby Ghoul1 votes

Most junglers have decent mana sustain compared to their mid laners, and that's why second spawn blue buff is most commonly given to them.

Unless you've fallen behind in the jungle, then there's little reason for you not to give it to them. I would say second spawn you should always ask your jungler to make sure they don't need it for something. That is almost like going to someone's lane and taking two waves.

After that though, the buffs are pretty much first come first serve in my opinion and experience. The lanes open up and so does the jungle.

Catastrop1 votes

I don't even need blue buff these days, my jungler or any other teammate can take it for all I care.
